Pick up more of yourvaluable hay

New Holland Rolabar® rakes let youfeed cleaner hay and more of it. Offsetwheels are set close to the basket, sotines follow the ground contourclosely to pick up all the hay. . .but leave dirt behind.

Hydraulic drive optiongives you more control

Hydraulic drive is available onModel 258 and Model 260 rakes to letyou tailor your basket speed to cropconditions, regardless of tractorground speed. That means you canrake slowly through heavy crops, yetset your basket speed fast enough tomove crop into uniform windrows. And, hydraulic rakes require less

maintenance and have a longer lifesince there are fewer moving parts. Inaddition, a hydraulic relief valveprotects the rake should it strike anobstruction.

No matter which Rolabar rakemodel you choose, you can besure you're making a solidinvestment. Demand theperformance of the original—the New Holland Rolabar rake.

Tine bar bearings can be replacedquickly without removing the tinebar from the rake. Single ballbearings on Models 57 and 256, anddouble ball bearings on Models 258and 260 provide long life and lowmaintenance.

In-line telescoping drive transferspower from the wheels to the reelthrough heat-treated gears. The

universal joints are built to takesevere punishment, requiring onlyminimum lubrication and attention. Both wheels drive, assuring uniformwindrows on both right and leftturns (ground-drive models).

Offset wheels are set close to thebasket, so the tines closely followthe ground for cleaner raking andmore hay.

Height-adjustment cranks permityou to raise or lower either side ofthe basket independently for properground clearance. Crank arm locksprevent arms from changing positionover rough terrain.

Trip lever for gearbox clutch canbe engaged from the tractor seat. Thepositive gearbox lockout preventsclutch engagement during transport.thereís no need to disconnect thedrive each time you tow the rake(ground-drive models).

Proven basket suspensionprovides a full range of settings.Move the ball to the top position, and tines tilt forward for fluffy,fast-drying windrows. Move theball down and tines tilt rearwardfor when conditions require tightwindrows.

Dual rakingsaves you time

Using two rakes instead of onecuts man-hours, fuel consumptionand tractor time in half, doublingyour productivity.

Model 252 pivot-tongue rake hitch

The Model 252 lets you transport, operate and adjust two Rolabarrakes without leaving your tractorseat. Just let your tractor’s remotehydraulics do the work. The“252”gives you the flexibility to raketwo separate windrows, or you cancombine two swaths or windrows intoone giant windrow. This versatilitycomes in handy, especially if thedensity of your hay cutting varies. You can use the Model 252 with allNew Holland 8 1/2- or 9 1/2- foot rakes,ground-drive or hydraulic-drive,right- or left-hand delivery, or incombination. And, there’s no need fordolly wheels, since the rakes hookdirectly to the rake hitch.

V-tandem rake hitch

For heavy-duty teamwork withground drive rakes, hook a left-handdelivery Model 258 and a right-handdelivery Model 260 together with theV-tandem rake hitch. You’ll rake twowindrows into one giant windrow.

Use the Model 252 to rake two swathsinto two separate windrows. V-tandem rake hitch

The Model 252 rake hitch has a narrow 8’11” transport width.

Rake 27 feet in one pass

The Model 216 unitized rake isdesigned for big-acreage haymaking. Its unitized frame carries two 10 1/2-foot baskets that extend wide enoughto rake 27 feet in one pass—wideenough to combine two windrowsfrom 16-foot windrowers. Yet theModel 216 folds to a narrow 10-footwidth for easy transporting. You canalso use the 216 to turn or flip16-foot windrows for faster drying.

Easy operation

Operating the 216 is especiallyeasy since you primarily use yourtractor controls. A rake control boxlets you select the raking function. Then you use your tractor selectorvalve to activate that function.

Hydraulics allow you to raise andlower the baskets and control basketwidth and angle. You can also easilyadjust basket speed to match yourneeds. Changing from field to

transport position is easy, too. Use thehydraulics to shift the baskets to theirtransport position, and the swingframe folds as you move the tractorforward. You just raise the basketsand go. There’s no need to leave yourtractor seat. And, when you get to thenext field, your previous basket angleand width settings are repeatedautomatically! The 216 saves you timeand hassle.

A convenient flow control valve lets you adjust reel speed to matchcrop conditions and ground speed.

Shutoff valves on each basket lift cylinderprovide the option of locking both baskets inthe ”up“ position for transport and easyhookup. One basket may be locked up whenraking a single windrow.

Unitized frameconstruction maintains aconstant windrow width even

in sharp turns.

Easy-to-set frame andbasket limit stops let yourepeat your last chosen framesetting each time you open

the rake.

Four-point suspensionsystem with double top linkscan be adjusted to change thetilt of the basket assembly.Shortening the length of thebasket upper link tilts thetines forward for loose, fast-drying windrows. Increasingthe length tilts the tinesrearward for tighter windrowswhen weather conditions

require it.

Stripper bar supportsreduce the possibility of tinebreakage by maintainingstripper bar and tine

alignment.

Hydraulic motorsmounted on the end of each

reel drive the baskets.

Superior basket suspen-sion permits tines to lift overobstacles for cleaner rakingand less tine failure; strongerlower links and a reinforced

frame increase durability.

Rubber Dyna-tinesprovide long life. They aremounted individually and canbe replaced easily andeconomically. An additional120 tines can be added formore sweeping and

cleaning action.

Rake tine bars aremounted to spider assemblieswith two sealed ball bearingsat each end for hassle-free
