Sexuality, 1800 to the Present Instructor: Whitney

This course introduces students to the history of sexuality and offers a thematic survey of some of the major topics in the field. Course lectures and discussions will focus on the various images and representations of sexuality in medicine, politics, education, advertising, and popular culture, including film and television. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand how modern attitudes towards sexual identities, desires, and behaviours developed and changed over time.
