1. Start The site address (or URL) is www.flamingo.be. After entering this URL in your Internet browser, you are directed to the Flamingo site where a similar screen is displayed.

To continue, you first need to select a language. A language can be selected as follows: by moving the cursor / mouse over the white bar where it says “Select a language” and choosing one of the languages shown in the list.

After making a selection, you are directed to the Flamingo home page from where you can explore the site.

The following chapters of this user manual explain the page structure, the menu, the information and show you how to use the shop.

2. Page structure Apart from a couple of exceptions, each page is made up of the following sections:

1. Information section.

The information shown in this section depends on your menu selection. This section, for instance, contains a welcome of the management as you enter the site after selecting a language, and this section contains a presentation of the company when you choose “company” in the menu.

2. Menu The menu allows you to navigate through the site. The different headings of the menu are explained in more detail in the following chapters of this manual.

3. De nieuwsflash. The newsflash shows you the latest news. To find out more about a particular item that moves past move the mouse over the item (you will notice that the item will stop moving) and then click the information icon . A window with more detailed information is opened. The button in the bottom left-hand corner allows you to close the news detail window.

4. Login shop This link takes you directly to the login screen of the online shop. This button corresponds with the “Shop” option in the menu and is discussed at length in one of the following chapters.

5. Site map The site map outlines the structure of the site in a different, easy to view manner. It also allows you to navigate through the site (like the menu) and go directly to a number of subpages.

3. Flamingo: the company Information about the company is available by selecting “company” in the menu or by clicking “company” in the site map.

The information is divided into:

• a short presentation of the company • a list of the main strengths (the button or by clicking “USPs” on the site

map)

• and various route descriptions (the button or by clicking “location” on the site map).

4. Catalogue Accessible via the “catalogue” menu or the catalogue link in the site map.

The catalogue shows an overview of all products. ATTENTION: No orders can be placed or prices requested via the catalogue. This is only possible via the shop.

The selection criteria (on the right-hand side of the screen) allow you to view the range. The selection criteria are inter-connected. This means that only the available combination is shown and that the criteria of a lower category are only shown when you have chosen the higher category. E.g. the selection options of category level 2 are only shown after choosing a main category. After selecting the desired criteria click to collect the articles that meet your selection conditions. The articles that meet the chosen criteria are displayed in the information section of the page. ATTENTION: If no selection criteria of a certain category are selected, all articles are shown. E.g.: if you chose “bird” in the main category, but you did not make a selection in category level 2 all articles in the “bird” main category are shown. The “number of products per page” list allows you to determine how many products will be shown. The buttons allow you to scroll to a previous/next page.

For more information about an article click the detail icon. . A window with more information is displayed as well as an enlarged photograph of the article.

5. Shop In addition to product information the shop also provides an overview of the prices and allows you to place online orders. The Shop is available via:

• the ‘Shop’ menu option, • the ‘login shop’ button on the information pages • the Site map also directs you to the login screen of the online shop.

ATTENTION: To enter the Shop you need a valid login and password.

5.1 Login

No valid login and password yet? If you don't have a valid login or password yet, you can apply for one via the site. Click here (circle in red in above illustration). An entry screen is opened, where you can enter your details and choose a login and password.

After entering all the compulsory fields (indicated with a red asterisk), click . If all fields have been correctly entered a confirmation of your application is shown. This means your application has been correctly received. Your application will be processed by Flamingo and you will be notified when you can start using your login and password. This takes 2 to 3 working days. You already have a valid login and password? Enter your valid login and password and click . If you enter an invalid login-password combination or an invalid login-password, the following error message is displayed:

If you have entered a valid login and password, the following message is displayed and you can proceed to the Shop by clicking the button.

5.2 Requesting orders To make a new order form, no other order form may be open. To check whether an order form is still open, you can request an overview of the online orders (the option on the right-hand side of the screen) or use the option. Option “ ” An overview is shown of the open, completed and processed orders within your company.

In the example the order forms of different people (logins) of the same company are listed.

Per order form you are also given an indication of the status of the order form: completed yes

( ) or no ( ); being processed by Flamingo yes ( ) or no ( ). The details of an order form can be requested by clicking the detail icon in the corresponding order form. Whether it concerns a completed or an open order form, the details of the order are displayed in the following format.

The button takes you back to the online order overview. To print out an order form or to view it in a print-friendly format, click the page icon ( ) with the corresponding order form.

A print-friendly version of the order form is displayed. Click the printer icon in the top right-hand corner to print the order form. Click the red arrow of “ Overview orders” to return to the online order overview.

Option “ ” This option shows, if available (see illustration below), the content/details of your personal open order form and allows you to change the content or displays the following message:

if no order form is active or open in your name. ATTENTION: If your company works with several people (logins), your company may still have open, uncompleted orders. They can only be requested via the online order overview as explained earlier.

5.3 Placing orders / adding articles If there is no open order form a new order form can be made. You can do this in three ways:

1) Using the selection criteria 2) With the option 3) With the option

If an order form linked to your login is still open, articles can be added to this open order form in three ways.

Selection criteria

In the shop, articles can be selected based on selection criteria in the same way as in the catalogue. Again all articles that meet the selected conditions are shown. The big difference with the catalogue is that for each article the price is also shown and the article can be immediately included in an online order by clicking the shopping cart next to the article in question.

As soon as you add an article to the shopping cart, the content of the shopping cart / order form is shown.

In the example above two articles are listed in the order form now. The total price of the order form is shown at the top of the screen. The order amount of an article can still be changed at this stage. You can do so by entering the amount in the ‘amount’ field and by clicking the green checkmark to confirm the amount. ATTENTION: The order amount must always be a multiple of the order unit. If you enter an order amount that is not a multiple of the order unit, the order amount is rounded to the first multiple of the order unit when you confirm the amount. . E.g. order unit = 6; if you enter order amount 14 it will be automatically changed to 18 when you confirm (because 14 is not a multiple of 6 and 18 is the next multiple greater than 14)

If you want to remove an article from the order form, click the red cross next to the article you want to remove, and the article will be removed from your order form.

Option “ ”

This option allows you to quickly add articles to your order form based on product code / article number. You only need to enter the article number and the amount. ATTENTION: • Incorrect product codes will NOT be added to the order form. • If you start from an empty form the products that already exist in this order form will NOT

be added again and will NOT be changed. • Products that frequently occur in the list below will only be added ONCE to the order form. • Again, the order amount will be changed to a multiple of the order unit. • The articles are only added to the order form if you confirm by clicking

the button.

Option “ ”

This option allows you to find articles based on product codes. The order unit, the unit price and an amount are shown of every searched product (initially this is the same as the order unit).

For each product in the list you can:

• view the details ( ) • change the order amount. Again, the order amount will be changed to the next

multiple of the order unit when you confirm ( )

• remove the product from the list ( ) You can then add the entire list to your order form by clicking the button. When you close the window without clicking this button the articles are NOT added to your order form. If you added the products to your order form the list is emptied and the following message is displayed:

5.4 Changing orders Attention: Only orders that have not been finalised can be changed. The “ ”,option, which is available in several windows in the shop, shows the details of the open order form.

For each product in the order form you can:

• view the details ( ) • change the order amount. Again, the order amount will be changed to the next

multiple of the order unit when you confirm ( )

• remove the product from the list ( )

5.5 Completing/deleting orders To send or delete an order form you need to agree with the conditions. The conditions can be consulted by clicking the button. You agree with the conditions by clicking the

button. Click the printer icon on the page with the terms and conditions of sale to print out the terms and conditions of sale. Click the red arrow to go back to the order form.

Only when you agree with the terms and conditions of sale will the buttons at the bottom of the screen be activated. You can now complete the order form and forward it to Flamingo for further processing, or you can delete the order form.

ATTENTION: As long as an order form has not been completed (“complete order” button) the content of the order form can still be changed by: • Adding articles • Removing articles • Changing the order amounts The order form can NO longer be changed after completing the order by clicking the ‘complete order‘ button. When you confirm the order, the following message is displayed:

The overview of your online orders allows you, at all times, to view the details of the orders you placed. If you delete the order form, the following message is displayed:

6. New products To view the new products select “new products” in the menu or click the link in the sitemap. This section shows Flamingo's new products. (New articles can be recognised in the catalogue and the shop by the icon.)

7. Wholesale distribution This section provides more information about Flamingo's separate wholesale distribution department, their activities and the product range.

8. Contact

Like all other categories it is accessible via the menu or the sitemap. It contains useful contact information (people, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses) grouped per department. The contact information can be found by selecting “contact” in the menu or by clicking “contact” in the sitemap. By clicking the e-mail address of a contact, your e-mail software is automatically started and a new mail is opened addressed to the person in question.
