CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Everyone is welcome - from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist. We will respect your background, culture, and beliefs. Tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable. Over 1,000 people have taken the course at FBCSA over the last 13 years. The class is taught in several groups of 10 people. Each week there is a brief discussion of the study material from the previous week followed by a DVD clip on the theme for the current week and conversation about any questions. Participants are encouraged to stay after class to further discuss any questions/thoughts they may have. Individuals may ask any questions at any time during the session. If you have more questions or would like to sign up go to fbcsa.org/christianityexplored.

MID-WEEK IN THE CITY
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS7:00 PM • WOLFSON HOUSESingle Adults gather to consider the big questions of our day.Turns out that “Now I lay me down to sleep...” won’t cut it. You’ll need a more edgy conversation with God for life’s craziest moments. Fortunately, the Bible thought of that first. Get ready to start learning to pray in a way that will mess with the status quo.

ATTENTION PARENTS....Make sure your kids stop by the Children’s Corner on the Missions Wall. New resources are available each month!
This week, the kids looked at 1 Samuel 22 and 26 as we learned how God is with us, even in the toughest times. David had been chased by King Saul through an eventful and tiresome pursuit. Though Saul meant evil for David, David acted kindly to Saul by sparing the king’s life at an unguarded moment. David loved God and God helped him love others, even Saul. We can know from this lesson that we should love others because we love God. God is always with us and gives us the strength to get through the toughest times. In David’s case, God gave him a heart of love for Saul that helped him through the long chase by the king.
