...May the peace of Jesus our Lord be with you! And also with you.And also with you.And also with you.And also with you.

Please share Christ’s peace with those worshipping around you.

Also please note: in this warm and welcoming congregation, there are people who need a hug and there are also people who are not comfortable receiving a hug. As you share Christ’s peace, please respect this by either reaching your hand out for a handshake, or asking, “May I hug you?” before giving a hug.

Choose Meijer for Your Holiday Shopping! (here’s why)

The Meijer store on Hall Road at Hayes has once again partnered with NLPC on our Food Basket Program by donating $1000 to help fund the

food purchases for our Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets. You may recall that they also donated toward our Summer Food Baskets Program in June as well as Thanksgiving Food Baskets last fall. Meijer's contribution enables NLPC to grow our Food Basket Program and help more families. Let's thank Meijer at Hall and Hayes by shopping there for supplies for our own holiday meals as well as holiday gifts for our family and friends. What a great way to show our appreciation for their commitment to our community!

The Minister’s Memo

The modern English word—generosity— is derived from the Latin term generosus, which means “of noble birth.” By the 17th century, usage of the term had changed to reflect admirable qualities that were expected of someone of noble lineage: gallantry, courage, strength, richness and fairness. During the 18th century, the usage of the term continued to change so that it came to mean that quality of open-handedness , which is willing to give to others, especially money and material goods. Today the word—generosity—represents the noble quality of character that is willing to share time, talents, and material assets to help those in need.

Give Thanks! Join us for a time of thanksgiving and celebrating God’s goodness

at our Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM.

Please join us at 11:45AM in Agape Hall for light refreshments. 12:00 PM Sunday School Childcare is available from 10:00AM-1:00PM.

By providing educational opportunities for all ages our mission is to deepen knowledge and understanding of the Bible, strengthen relationships with Christ, increase the desire to share our faith and to grow Christian leaders both within and outside the church community.

Sunday School— Back to Basics

Our Sunday School Program will serve children from age 3 through 18. This year we will be studying the Bible and finding our way through it. Our studies will include verses, songs, interpretations, games and fun so the children will learn why the Bible is important to us and what we can do with it. In addition, the kids are asking members of our congregation to provide a favorite verse to be included in our studies. We look forward to a wonderful year of enrichment for all!

Prayers of Jesus

Thursdays: 11:00 am – NOON Prayer was the backbone of Jesus’ life and ministry. From his baptism to his crucifixion, the Gospels portray Jesus as a man of prayer who knew and deeply valued intimate communion with his heavenly Father. What can we learn from the prayers that he prayed? Come and explore the prayers of Jesus to gain new insights into prayer, the character of God, and how to deepen your relationship with him.

Faith Lessons Video Series

Mondays: 10:30 am – 11:45 am in Agape Hall Filmed on location at Israel’s historic sites, Faith Lessons is a unique video series that will transform your understanding of God and challenge you to be a true follower of Jesus. Whether you can quote Biblical verses from memory or you have never opened the pages of a Bible, these illuminating ‘faith lessons’ offer a new understanding of the Bible that will ground your convictions and transform your life. We will explore the turbulent history of Israel's prophets and kings and learn from their story how to build your own devotion to and trust in God.
