The Philanthropic Spirit of NM Mission of Mercy
Continues…. “What a great thing for the entire state of New Mexico Mission of Mercy was! Everyone seemed very satisfied with the service they received here in Santa Fe this weekend.” Those very words, stated by Martin Raza, were echoed over and over again by patients receiving care on April 8th and 9th in Santa Fe!
Martin is a resident of Rio Rancho. After hearing about the NM MOM event on radio station 102.5, he decided that he would seek dental care at NM MOM in Santa Fe, and would also volunteer for 3 days as well. Martin works at
a company that repairs airplane parts. He took three days off of work to attend NM MOM in Santa Fe.
Martin helped set up the event on Thursday, worked one of the clinic days, and helped take the clinic down on Sunday. He also received a filling and had a tooth extracted.
“This was the best and most fun volunteering opportunity ever,” he stated as he was helping remove floor covering from the Convention Center floor on Sunday morning. “Everyone worked so well together. I am anxious to volunteer again in 2017 at NM MOM in Albuquerque.”
