Away in a Manger arr. Bob BurroughsWho doesn’t like a piece that sounds harder than it is? This charming arrangement of the tune Cradle Song features optional handchimes and varied handbell techniques. A flowing accompaniment of eighth notes accompanies the melody for most of the piece. 4-5 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 2+MMOMSM30140 $2.75
Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven arr. Tim WaughTim Waugh has set this familiar hymn text to a brand new tune in G Minor. Designed as a large festival piece, the piece calls for SATB choir, handbells, and organ with optional piano, 3-5 octave handchimes, and timpani. However, the piece can be done in many ways, including with handbells alone.3-5 octaves opt. handchimes, SATB choir, organ, piano, timpani Level 2+MMOMSM30345 Handbell Part $3.00MMOMSM503450 SATB $1.85MMOMSM503450A Full Score 15.00MMOMSM503450B Piano Score $3.00MMOMSM503450C Organ Score $3.00MMOMSM503450D Timpani Part $2.00
Flexible Hymn Accompaniments, Set 2 arr. Sondra TuckerEach tune contains an introduction or interlude, a traditional and an alternate harmonization, with instrumental duet and vocal descant parts as an added bonus. This approach allows for a variety of ways to give a fresh, unique sound to congregational singing. Contains: Alleluia, Sing to Jesus; We Gather Together; Come, Christians, Join to Sing; Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty and For the Beauty of the Earth. 3-5 octaves w/ organ Level 2MMOMSM30141A $5.00MMOMSM30141 Full Score/Organ Part $20.00
A Medieval Procession arr. Charles PeeryThe tune Orientis Partibus is given a quaint, modal treatment reminiscent of its earliest use: as a carol in which the congregation sang “Hail, Sir Donkey!” in honor of it carrying Mary. The ringers process while playing simple patterns, then play the body of the piece when at the tables. Although the hand drum, finger cymbals, and tambourine are optional, the piece sounds markedly better when they are included. 3-5 octaves/opt. percussion Level 2MMOMSM30132 $3.00 5: O Love, How Deep, How Broad, How High arr. Philip RobertsThe tune Deo Gratias is given a fresh, varied setting, which is a pleasant departure from the staid nature of the original. For 3-5 octaves, this piece will give your handbell choir a chance to work on expressive ringing, with dynamic changes and tempo flexibility. 3-5 octaves Level 2+MMOMSM30844 $3.00
This is the Day arr. Charles PeeryOriginally an antiphonal piece for double chorus, this arrangement has the organ and handbells in dialogue. “This is the day the Lord has made,” an exerpt from Psalm 118, is often used as an introit on Easter. It would be appropriate for any festive worship service. Easy and majestic. 3-5 octaves/opt. organ (included) Level 2+MMOMSM30710 $3.00
Reprise arr. John BehnkePaul Manz was asked to write an organ reflection on his great choral masterpiece E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come. His composition was reflective, poignant and culminated in a glorious restatement of the tune of this great piece. This arrangement of that organ work captures all of the beauty and love that Dr. Manz put into his into his reflection.3-6 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 3MMOMSM30850 $3.00
Londonderry Gardens arr. Charles PeeryTwo Irish tunes, Down By the Salley Gardens and Londonderry Air, are creatively intertwined. Although both tunes can be found as hymn tunes as well as other more vernacular uses, the emotive qualities of these melodies are transcendent. Subtle for services of remembrance, worship with a Celtic flavor, or near St. Patrick’s Day, we’re sure your handbell choir will enjoy ringing this piece, whenever you use it. 3-5 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 3MMOMSM30922 $3.00
On Jordan’s Stormy Banks I Stand arr. Sharon RogersThis spirited composition on the traditional American melody The Promised Land can be used as a good teaching tool, as it employs multiple ringing techniques. The beginning forte section, written in F minor, is a lively contrast to the slower middle section in F Major, using bells, chimes and later adding mallets. The piece climaxes to an exciting conclusion with ponderous minor chords.3-5 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 2MMOMSM30706 $3.00
O God, Beyond All Praising arr. Philip YoungUsing the stately tune Thaxted (from Holst’s The Planets), this approachable arrangement begins sedately, with simple chords accompanying the melody, occasionally set in the bass clef. Both the chord thicknesses and the excitement build, leading to a fortissimo ending. Great for concert or worship. 3-5 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 2MMOMSM30705 $3.00
The Holly and the Ivy arr. John BehnkeAt times lilting, at other times rhythmic, this arrangement is imbued with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. The “prickle” and “berry” verses are set in minor keys, providing a wonderful contrast and allowing a welcome return of the major key for the final verse. The handbell parts are optional but add lots of of sparkle.2-3 or 3-5 octaves w/ SATB and pianoMMOMSM501720HB reproducible HB parts $14.00MMOMSM501720 SATB $2.25
O Savior, Blessed Savior James BieryTwo texts are provided: the traditional Eucharistic Latin text for this chant melody and an English text, “Savior, listen while we sing”. The piece may be sung as an unaccompanied motet or the optional handbell and C or B-flat instrument parts may be added. Keyboard part may be played from either the choral score or full score.3 octaves w/ SATB, KB and opt. C or Bb instrument MMOMSM505115B repro. HB and inst. parts $15.00MMOMSM505115A Full Score $17.00MMOMSM505115 SATB $1.85
All Creatures of Our God and King arr. JC and JI HarrisThis hymn arrangement begins with resonant octaves and chords marching in majestic quarter notes in 6/4 meter. It becomes more intense with high register sequences adorning the single line melody. The final section pairs the quarter note theme with thick throbbing chords in malleted bass bells. The bell resonance and the driving rhythm will make this piece a joy to ring.4-5 octaves Level 3MFLHB384 $3.95
Count Your Blessings arr. Matthew PrinsA familiar hymn receives a unique harmonic treatment in this tender, graceful arrangement. The tune is carried in the soprano bells, with later alto harmony added. Chords in the tenor range add interest. Rhythms are uncomplicated but there is some easy syncopation throughout. Try this setting for a new flavor, enhancing a simple hymn tune.5 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 3+MFLHB388 $3.95
Highlander’s Lament arr. Malcolm WilsonThe unmistakable Scottish flavor of this handbbell arrangement with additional percussion is a real attention-grabber. The piece is a trio between high, middle, and low bell registers, keeping all ringers equally busy and resulting in a wonderful resonance in either the 2 or 3 octave setting. Rhythms include dotted quarter-eighth combinations and even-eighth scalar patterns at a moderate tempo. Percussion for bodhran, drum, or tambor adds delightful color.2-3 octaves Level 2+MFLSB431 HB or HC/opt. percussion $2.95
His Praise Endureth Forever Matthew PrinsThis is an emotionally intense original work that will benefit from good ringing techniques. A single line melody expands to a duet and then into vibrant chords. Support is provided by almost constant eighth note patterns and tolling bass notes. The challenge for ringers will be keeping these elements in balance. Rhythms are easy; tonality moves from E to D major and back, and there are frequent accidentals to keep everybody alert.4-5 octaves handbells or handchimes Level 3+MFLHB389 $3.95
It Is Well with My Soul arr. Brian ChildersHandbell soloists will enjoy the performance possibilities of this beautiful hymn setting. Imaginative counter-themes in the piano and an optional Bb trumpet part add complexity to the bell melody throughout. The trio in the the middle section is especially effective. The trumpet part is optional but adds much depth to this piece, while the piano accompaniment needs a competent level of facility.Solo w/ piano and opt. Bb trumpetMFLHB383 $3.95
The Joy of Christmas arr. Robin BentonThe familiar carols O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night and Good King Wenceslas receive some unique rhthmic twists in this medley. Syncopation and tension of duplet versus triplet eighth notes will keep ringers alert and focused. This is a subtle and sophisticated Christmas choice.3 octaves Level 3MFLHB386 $3.95
Melodic Moods Fred MerrettThis is a tuneful, uncomplicated piece scored in quarter and eighth notes, with lots of echoes for amusing contrast. Textures thicken and rhythms gain complexity as the “moods” change. This is a fine teaching piece for early ringers, with easy transitions from 3/4 to 4/4, and opportunities for developing musical interpretation.3 octaves w/ 3 oct. handchimes Level 2+MFLHB387 $3.95
Nimrod arr. Robin BentonBenton brings us another arrangement from Edward Elgar, whose lush harmonies seem well-suited to the resonance of handbells. Nimrod, the “mighty hunter before God,” is the inspiration here, giving an unusual subject and a colorful music experience for performance in worship or concert. Easy rhythms of quarters and eighths and rich chords with minimal accidentals account for the level three rating.3-5 octaves Level 3+MFLHB385 $2.95
Ode to Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring arr. William GrossThese two well-loved tunes receive a unique blending in this bronze level arrangement. It is a rhythmic melange of duplet and triplet eighth notes imbedded in meters of 6/8, 9/8, 12/8, 3/4, 5/4 and 6/4. Key centers are C, F, Eb and Ab with some accidentals along the way. Introductory measures are rung, but syncopated mallet patterns become the norm as the piece progresses. This is a fascinating piece with lots of tonal and technical colors and rhythms that drive from beginning to end.3-7 octaves/opt. handchimes Level 6MFLHB375 $4.95
Praise the Lord with Shouts of Joy William GrossThis original work is a study in handbellbell techniques, especially focusing on percussive sounds. Highly syncopated rhythms will take practice and intense focus in the beginning and ending sections. A contemplative treatment of the theme in the middle section offers delightful contrast. The piece centers in the key of C, but there are frequent accidentals that add surprising tonal color. It is challenging but will be a joy to perform.5 octaves w/ 5 oct. handchimes Level 5MFLHB368 $3.95
Shall We Gather at the River arr. Brian ChildersFlowing arpeggiated chords in the piano accompany the handbell melody to this lyrical traditional hymn. Beginning and ending sections are scored for bells from C6 to D7 range and may be arranged in a bell tree configuration for playing ease. The main body of the piece utilizes the bells from D5 through A6, with a lovely duet between the piano and bells in the middle section. The piano setting requires some technical facility, but adds great beauty to this arrangement.Solo w/ piano/opt. bell tree MFLHB382 $3.95

The first eighteen measures are intended as a processional. The ringers should be divided into six groups. Each two-measurepattern is one group, and each group enters as directed and continues, in a layered effect, until everyone is at the tables andthe director signals the beginning of measure 19.
The optional percussion parts may be played by ringers not involved in the piece. If percussion is not used, begin at measure7. The percussion parts may continue to the end of the piece, may stop and start at pre-selected points, or may end atmeasure 19. Additional percussion instruments and patterns may be used.
