Welcome to Worship Greetings! Matthew, the writer of the first of four Gospels, gives us an “insider” view of a conversation between Jesus and his disciples. It went like this: Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” God in Jesus Christ can move us beyond what seems impossible to what is possible. No one else has the power to determine that which is possible. -Pastor Karl

PARENTS OF INFANTS AND PRESCHOOLERS
Welcome! Your children are welcome to join us in worship today. For parents who wish to use it, childcare is provided for infants and preschoolers in the church nursery and staffed by loving volunteers. When they are ready, we gladly welcome your children to all worship services. We understand in doing so we are fulfilling part of our promise to nurture these little ones in the faith. Children learn best by observing and participating. Parents can explain and model worship for their children when they bring them to worship. Thanks again for joining us in worship today. *A Brief Statement of Faith
We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe in the gospel. Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition, Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain and giving his life for the sins of the world. God raised Jesus from the dead,
vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal.
