NAIDOCrocks

This rock is my rock and it is an Aboriginal Flag. Now

to make it you will need a ny paint brush and you

will need some yellow and red paint. You will have to

put the red paint on the bo om of the rock. Then you

paint the yellow paint in the middle of the rock. Then

you will need to pit the black paint on the top of the

rock.

My rock has a turtle on it because turtles die from the

rubbish people don’t put in the bin. So much plas c is

in the ocean. Turtles eat the plas c. When they eat it

they die. I will never leave plas c in the ocean ever.

Turtles think that the plas c is a jelly fish. That’s why

they eat the plas c.

By Kalissa

A long me ago six men were around a fire. Then a

goanna stole their food so they got their spears and

boomerangs. They went for a hunt. One of them

threw his spear, but it hit the rainbow serpent. It

made the snake angry, so it devoured then man alive.

Then it went on to eat the other five men.

Active Kids Program Dear Parents

Participation in sport and fitness activities is extremely valuable to our community. However at times we can find it difficult to meet the costs associated with our kid’s participation. That is why the NSW Government has an-nounced a 2nd $100 Voucher for school-enrolled children in the Active Kids Pro-gram. Designed to help parents with the financial costs of their kids participation. We want to make sport and fitness activities more af-fordable and get kids off the couch and ac-tive.

From July 1, 2019 parents will be able to claim 2 x $100 per calendar year for each child enrolled at school via a voucher to reduce the cost of eligible activities. These activities could include traditional sport such as netball, football or cricket; as well as other fitness or physical activities such as swimming classes or dance.

The rebate is not means tested so every family has access to this initia-tive. Parents will be able to reg-ister for the 2nd 2019 vouch-

er now via www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher
