dedication, and a collec-
tive group effort will help
us to rock some socks un-
til the Fall. We breathe,
eat, sleep, and work as
one. If you haven’t started
already, get talking to eve-
ryone and get to know
them! In the meantime,
start to enjoy Ithaca in
the summer, even if it
means spending some well
-earned cash on a Fresh-
ens smoothie. Is that fresh
cut grass and barbeque I
smell? Let’s have a blast!

After a long, cold winter,
SUMMER has finally ar-
rived in Ithaca. The days
are hot and the nights
are… even hotter ;).
This is CCES’ first offi-
cial newsletter of the
summer. It’s so nice to
finally be moved into
T13 and to be meeting
new and exciting individ-
uals who seem to have a
lot to bring to our of-
fice. After an intense in-
troduction to CCES via
Senior Week, the new
staff is excited to see
what kind of jubilations
and pitfalls lie ahead on the
ominous path through the
sweltering Summer months.
Meanwhile, the old staff
have suited up for the con-
tinued battle. Only one
thing is certain: hard work,
Who Am I? I was born in
D.C. and raised in Rock-
vi l le , MD. I studied
Speech & Communication
and Psychology at Clem-
son University in SC and
got a master’s in Counsel-
ing at Appalachian State
University in NC. I was a
Peace Corps Volunteer in
Honduras before moving
to Ithaca in 2000. My hob-
bies include making bal-
loon hats, practicing and
teaching Shotokan Karate,
building things and playing
with my two boys. An in-
teresting thing about me is
that I have a third eye on
my forehead.

“MooMoo/Mooms” Jones am a
senior Communication Man-
agement and Design major,
and Legal Studies minor. If
you think back to May 10,
1990 and remember it as the
best day in your life, this
would not be surprising be-
cause this is the day that I en-
tered into the world. If you
are familiar with the Gerber
MooMoo Jones brand of baby foods, than
you are most likely familiar
with Me because, as a baby,
that is what I ate. My favor-
ite color is macaroni and
cheese, a food that I en-
joyed for the first time in
my life during the summer
of 2010. My hometown is
Schwenksville, PA and is a
place that very few people
have heard of, despite the
fact that amazing people
are known to live there
(i.e. Me). For fun, I like to
breathe and laugh; both
of which I do often.

so, because I have mod-

of my legs is longer than
the other, so I naturally

seen a softball (or a bat) in your life,
you are still qualified to play! During
the summer the games are played with
special "extra-soft" softballs (seriously)
so no one gets hurt. Extra gloves will
also be available in case you do not
have one of your own.
Games will begin on Friday, June 10,
at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the
Yavits Field extension (down below
Muller Chapel, the farthest one on the right). We will
then continue the games every "early-dismissal" Friday
for the rest of the

10, around 3:30

Once again, all Ithaca College com-
munity members who are on campus
or in town this summer are invited
to play softball on Fridays!
Summer softball games are a great
way to make new contacts on cam-
pus, especially since faculty, stu-
dents, and staff from many different
areas and offices come out and play.

rience to participate. You do not
