Warren County is located south of Essex County, north of Saratoga County, east of Hamilton County, and west of Washington County.

The terrain in Warren County are mountains, rivers, and lakes.

Location and Terrain

Watersheds

The watershed in Warren County is the Mohawk and Hudson River Watershed.

Water

Some bodies of water in Warren County are the Hudson River and Lake Champlain.

Industries The biggest industry in warren County is Health

Care and Social Assistance. Retail Trade is the second largest. Accommodation and Food Services are the third

largest. Accommodation and Food Services have the

greatest difference from New York State’s average, it is 4.9% more than New York State.

Energy There is a wind farm called the

Adirondack Wind Energy Park in Warren County.

Warren County also uses non-renewable energy like coal, oil, and gas.

Warren County uses a modest amount of each type of renewable energy.

Waste There are two transfer stations in Warren County, the Bolton

Transfer Station and the Chester Transfer Station. There are two landfills in Warren County, the Lake George

C&D Debris Landfill and the Thurman C&D Debris Landfill. Cell Phones can be recycled by the business Town of Stony

Creek Electronics Recycling Drop-Off Location in Stony Creek, NY.

Scraps of metal can be recycled by the business Eastside Metals and Recycling in Fort Ann, NY.

MountainsThe mountain range in Warren County is the Adirondack Mountains which is 1 billion years old.

Native Americans

The Native American tribes that lived in Warren County are the Iroquois, Algonquin, and the Mohawk.

CLIMATE SMART COMMUNITIES A Climate Smart Community is a

community that pays attention to climate change and tries to stop it from becoming more intense.

There are no Climate Smart Communities in Warren County.

ENVIROTHON! The Envirothon is a competition that

high school students compete in to help the environment.

In 2013 a high school student named Dean Moore competed in Warren County.

A Fun Fact about my County is… Warren County has the Great Escape

Lodge in it. Warren County has Lake George in it

too.
