Uniforms for the Office of the High Sheriff of Newf oundland and Labrador General Requirements It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to obtain measurements and to supply proper fit for the Office of the High Sheriff detachments located in St. John’s, Corner Brook, Gander, Grand Bank, Grand Falls Windsor, Harbour Grace, Happy Valley Goose Bay, Stephenville, Clarenville, and Wabush. Sizes will be based on measurements taken by a Sheriff approved qualified tailor and/or seamstress supplied by the successful bidder. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to ensure measurements are taken in all detachment locations. Shoulder patches shall be supplied by the Office of the High Sheriff to the successful bidder for attachment to the shirts. All costs relating to attaching the shoulder patches shall to be borne by the successful bidder The successful bidder shall be responsible for providing and attaching service bars to the shirts.

Short sleeve shirt service bars shall be sewn on the left side sleeve of the shirt, directly above the sleeve hem line and center of the shoulder crest. See attached photo .

Long sleeve shirt service bars shall be sewn on the left side sleeve of the shirt, one inch above the sleeve cuff hem line and center of the shoulder crest. See attached photo. Delivery Date: All items, upon delivery to each detachment location, shall be marked with individual member’s name and size. The successful bidder shall be responsible for all alterations for a period of sixty days after date of delivery. There shall be a specific place to do all alterations in all detachment locations. Delivery required on or before 4:00 PM, February 28, 2013. The Office of the High Sheriff of Newfoundland and Labrador have the right to hold all samples from the successful bidder until complete order has been received. This tender shall be awarded in total. All items specified must be accurately delivered to each Sheriff’s Office location on or before Febuary 28, 2014. Failure to accurately deliver the total number of items listed within the time period provided will result in forfeiture to the Office of the High Sheriff by the successful bidder, liquidated damages in the amount of ($500.00) five hundred dollars per week, for each and every week during which the successful bidder has failed to accurately deliver any portion of the amount of items shown on the purchase order. This amount will be deducted from the final payment to the successful bidder, upon completion of specified requirements and specifications of the document. The successful bidder shall acknowledge and agree that any liquidated damages deducted from the payment amount from the Office of the High Sheriff to the successful bidder, as a result of late or inaccurate delivery, are reasonable and genuine pre-estimates of the damage which the Office of the High Sheriff and the successful bidder anticipate will be suffered by the Office of the High Sheriff for each and every week during which the successful bidder is late delivering or fails to accurately deliver any amount of items as identified in the purchase order. The successful bidder shall also acknowledge and agree that any amount forfeited for late or inaccurate deliveries, for items listed on the purchase order, is not a penalty. The successful bidder shall further acknowledge and agree that careful consideration has been given to the amounts per week which may be forfeited by the successful bidder, to the Office of the High Sheriff, under the said total payment amount and to the conditions upon which such amounts shall be forfeited. The successful bidder shall also acknowledge and agree that they have done as previously stated at the time of entering into the contract, in order that the parties to be contracted not seek the assistance of a court of law in calculating the actual damages suffered or incurred by the Office of the High Sheriff, in the event of breach of contract resulting from late or inaccurate delivery of any items or portions of items listed in the purchase order by the supplier, according to the terms of the contract. Any amounts withheld as liquidated damages will not be returned by the Office of the High Sheriff to the supplier, under any circumstances. This procurement opportunity is subject to the provisions of the agreement on Internal Trade and the Atlantic Procurement Agreement.
