Job Description:
1. Network Engineers design, install, configure, manage, and
support technical components within the network environment.
Router/Switch Administration
2. Configure routers (route configurations, ACLs, core system
configurations)
3. Configure switches (switch port configurations, VLAN
configuration, ACLs, core system configurations)
4. Analyze network environment (logs, packet traces, bandwidth)
to understand communication patterns and identify
source/destination/protocol/port information for application to
application internetworking
5. Analyze internetworking throughout the environment to
identify routingpaths and ACLs for applications that need to
communicate with each other (particular focus on NGN to LGN)
6. Configure network routing and access controls to enable
application to
application communication7. Utilize network diagnostic tools to
perform network troubleshooting including traces of network
communication Upgrade/patch software (develop process for
upgrading/patching, develop scripts to automate/test, perform
regression testing)
8. Document environment/configuration of the environment (e.g.
topology) and specific devices Ensure inventory systems Load
Balancer Administration
Create New Pools and VIPS
Add/Delete/Modify load balancing rules
Modify load balancer configurations/setting
Upgrade/patch software
