Bogesunds 2012 - Twilight

This year, Bogesunds introduces the new pattern ”Twilight” in 25 sparkling colourways at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, fabrics that change characteristics with every angle and light curve. Sometimes it’s hard to predict the outcome when creating a fabric. You can spend all the time in the world planning ahead, trying to calculate what it will look and feel like. Little does that matter when you lift the fabric from the weaving machine and hold it in your hands for the first time. Things always happen in the process. A green thread will look blue. The feel will be softer than predicted. Or harder. Sometimes, it’s smaller things, nuances, but sometimes you get an outcome that surpassed any idea of what you thought would happen. That’s how it felt when we experimented and wove the first reports of what later was named ”Twilight”.

There was a shimmer, a glow that almost made the Trevira CS-fabric feel like satin or silk. A shimmer stemming from mixing two kinds of Trevira CS yarn in somewhat unexpected colour combinations, which made the fabric visually transform with every light curve, every angle. It would be bright red holding it one way, and tinted with flat green holding it another. Characteristics we knew we needed to expand on. We felt the shimmer and colour variation resembled the ambiguous light shift between dawn and sunrise or sunset and dusk which brought out the name by itself. Now we’re proud to present the ”Twilight” family, complete with 25 colourways.

We feel the members of the ”Twilight” family are made to go well together and meet creatively with one another. We are also proud to inform that the ”Twilight” family, alongside all the other Trevira CS-fabrics in the Bogesunds collection, are certified with the environmental labelling ”EU-Eco label” since that of January 2012.
