Hall’s celebrated its 55th anniversary with a com-panywide picnic on Saturday September 21, 2019 at Forest Lodge in Warren, New Jersey.

Since reaching our 50th anniversary, we’ve seen some changes. Hall’s Warehouse Corp. has expand-ed to 8 warehouse facilities, Access Road being the most recent addition, now encompassing 1.8 million square feet of multi-temperature environments. Hall’s Fast Motor Freight, Inc. has evolved to support 65 power units and 130 trailers.

With nearly 650 employees, family and friends in attendance at our picnic, it was a great way to cel-ebrate all that Hall’s has accomplished.

The celebration started at 11 AM and fi nished at 5 PM. Between the race cars, spin art, rock wall and photo booth, there was plenty of fun to be had!

It was a warm September afternoon with sunny skies, which provided a great chance for coworkers from all facilities to be together.

Hall’s believes in the health and welfare of our employees. That’s why on August 14th, we held healthfairs at 501 Kentile and 200 Foothill Road. Employees were offered a variety of health screen-ings that included checking cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and for cancer. Many took advan-tage of the chair massages and the opportunity to ask questions about Hall’s benefi ts.

A Simple Way to Protect Your Loved OnesYour benefi ciary is the person who receives your

retirement account balance in the event of your death.You can name your spouse, child, brother, sister or

anyone you choose. If you’re married, your spouse is automatically your benefi ciary unless he or she pro-vides written, notarized consent to name an alterna-tive benefi ciary. If you’re unmarried and don’t name a benefi ciary, your account will be distributed in ac-cordance with the Summary Plan Description (SPD).

How Often Do You Need To Update Your Benefi ciary?

Review your benefi ciary every year or so, espe-cially after a life event, such as having a baby, getting married or getting divorced. Keep in mind that most of the time, your benefi ciary form will override your will, so keep your designation up to date.Can You Name More Than One Benefi ciary?

Yes. If you do, you’ll designate percentages for each person (how much of your account you want each benefi ciary to receive).How Do You Name or Update Your Benefi ciary?

Tech Tip #13Windows Navigation Tips (and more)

Many of us know that certain combina-tions of the CTRL, ALT, SHIFT and TAB keys on your PC keyboard can help you perform many useful functions in Microsoft Windows.

For example, by using the ALT+TAB keys, you can cycle through all the Windows sessions on your screen. Did you know that using the ALT+SHIFT+TAB keys lets move through your Windows sessions in the re-verse sequence?

How about if you have multiple Excel fi les open, and you want move from one spreadsheet to the other quickly? If you use CTRL+TAB, you can easily move from one spreadsheet to another. And by adding the SHIFT key (CTRL+SHIFT+TAB), you can move through the active spreadsheets in the reverse direction.

The same CTRL+TAB key-chord idea can be used in a Firefox browser session. If you have multiple tabs open in a Firefox session, you can click directly on the tab you want, or move from one tab to the other by using CTRL+TAB to go to the RIGHT and CTRL+SHIFT+TAB to go to the LEFT.

Finally, what if you have an Ex-cel spreadsheet with multiple workbook tabs? You may cycle through the tabs to the RIGHT by using the CTRL+PgDn key combination. Similarly, you may cycle back-wards through the tabs to the LEFT using CTRL+PgUp.

So whether you prefer to use your mouse to navigate the Windows screen, or like us-ing keyboard key combinations, you have lots of options!
