environment of the school. Scoring pretty well and getting admission calls from various institutes of repute, The NorthCap University was my pick for I got a branch of my choice and the accessibility to the whole campus. I must express my gratitude here because whatever little more was required for my accessibility on the campus, it was all constructed before my first day at NCU.

With the support of my friends, teachers and staff, I have been lucky to complete two internships at Sapient. This has been the best experience of my life. The amount of involvement in work and weekend parties at Sapient made me feel so confident and ready for the next stage of life. Every budding young man feels excited and nervous at the same time at the mere thought of campus placement. You wait for the 7th Sem so anxiously and when the day arrives for the group discussion and personal interaction, you are literally sweating. But it has been a dream come true to have been placed in one of the Big Four. Finally, Ernst & Young is going to be the first step for a fruitful career for me. The journey has been long and arduous but my hard work and will has paid off in the form of this opportunity.

In spite of all the obstacles and impediments I have faced in my life till now, I kept on believing in myself and never lost hope and always looked forward. With the support from my family, friends and NCU, I am ready to face the professional world.

Life is a journey and one should enjoy every bit of it, however tough may be the circumstances. Good luck to my fellow classmates and juniors for their career!”

Asia Level Regionals

q A 2D Game Development workshop was organized by the CSI Student

Chapter, NCU from 11-13 Dec 2017. Students learnt about the usage of tools like animation, collision of objects and parallax effect. Platform games like ‘Mario’ and ‘Shoot the Target’ were developed. On the first day students developed their own games using the tools and features learnt. On the second day, concepts like physics, gravity and multiple layouts were discussed and students came up with exemplary games that also covered some concepts that they had explored on their own.

On 13 Dec the students made a final presentation of their games. The event was judged by Ms Shivani and Ms Lakshmi along with the instructors. The winners of the event were Munish Grover and Nikhil Taneja, 1st Position, Ayush Bhardwaj and Aniesh Gupta, 2nd Position, Abhinav Bhateja and Manas, 3rd Position. The trophies and certificates were distributed by Dr Kavita Khanna, Head, Dept of CSE to the winners and the instructors. The workshop was conducted by Aaditya Verma, Ayush Singh Rathore, Bhuvnesh Gupta and Riya Adhlaka, 2nd Year, BTech, CSE under the guidance of Dr A Charan Kumari.
