Hong Kong, April 17, 2013 – Sony today added two new 4K LED TVs to its X9000 series 4K LED

TV. On the heels of the successful launch of the 84-inch 4K LED TV in October 2012, Sony will

bring to market a 65-inch and 55-inch screen sizes 4K LED TV, with four times the resolution of Full

HD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), delivering the most immersive home entertainment experience, with the

highest picture quality regardless of the content or source. Sony also introduced the flagship W950

and other Full HD LED TV series to its new 2013 BRAVIA TV line-up, created for viewers looking

for an amazing high definition entertainment experience.

Display

The X9000 series of 4K LED TVs employ many technological advances to achieve stunning pictures.

The 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine reduces visual noise and corrects image shapes.

TRILUMINOSTM

Display LED backlighting is used in the 4K LED TVs to present rich, authentic

colour with subtle tones while also replicating bold colours including hard-to-reproduce blues, reds

also enriches and improves picture quality of personal content captured on compatible Sony digital

In addition to offering the best-ever picture quality, the 4K LED TVs also offer a better sound

experience by incorporating an end-to-end Sony audio solution. Utilizing a Signal-to-Sound

Architecture, these TVs incorporate Sony‟s own magnetic fluid speakers and unique digital signal

processing technology to deliver smooth midrange, lower vibration and deep bass. The front facing

speakers on the X9000 series 4K LED TVs extend Sony‟s new design concept to match the exterior

Incorporating the Sense of Quartz design concept, the new BRAVIA TV line-up features timeless

geometrical forms that are fused in harmonious balance, with the monolithic quartz-like rectangular

panel floating over a circular base that expresses purity and simplicity. They‟re united by an

intelligent „core‟, responding to the user‟s commands with a softly colored glow immediately beneath

the Sony logo on the TV‟s bezel.

Just one touch - seamless connectivity with mobile devices

The new X9000 series models are Wi-Fi® enabled and offer a wide range of internet connected

services including Sony‟s smart connect solutions, enabling cross-device seamless connectivity

between mobile devices and their TV. Touch your NFC and screen mirroring compatible Xperia

smartphone briefly against One-touch Remote, the NFC embedded simple TV remote to effortlessly

BRAVIA LED TV range includes the W950 series, W900 series, W800 series, W700 series, W670

Sound quality is not compromised with Sony‟s patented Signal-to-Sound Architecture, which

W950 series houses an ultra-slim two-way bass reflex speaker and stand-alone tweeter in an isolated

cabinet to minimize acoustic energy being lost or distorted inside the box, while the W900 series uses

a discreetly integrated 1.2m speaker duct to evoke unparalleled bass and mid-range sounds for a unit

of its size, enriching the home entertainment experience. The other W-series (W800, W700, W670,
