Thank you to Nat Mathews and all

the volunteers who helped out in

the library for our Schoolastic Book

Fair. Wish lists are still able to be

returned to the library until the end

of the week. Happy reading to all

the families that purchased books,

funds raised allow for the buying of

new books and teaching resources

to benefit the staff and students of

both Caralee CS and the Fremantle

LDC.

School Fete

Our School Fete is to be held on the

school grounds - 10th November.

Each Class will be invited to set up

stalls on the evening, so get those

creative ideas flowing. We look

forward to hearing more details in

Term 3 as planning for our School

Fete unfolds.

Funds raised from this event will go

to the purchase of Audio Equipment

for the undercover area.

Thanks to Mel Lanzon and the won-

derful fundraising committee for all

their fantastic fundraising efforts!

Canteen

Our kids have been enjoying some

of the new fresh and tasty lunch

Remember see Tracey, our Canteen

Manager, if you would like to volun-

Hi Parents and Caregivers

Here's a great article with some really useful insight into some effective ways we can help our kids.

Parenting can be a very challenging task at times, and some information from others, who have gone before us, can be a great support. Happy reading!

Dance Miss Longley

Choir Miss Rhiannan Longley

On Friday the 23rd June

the Year 1 to 6 Caralee and Pre

-Primary to Year 3 FLDC

students came together to put

on a whole school Dance

Concert. Each class performed

the dance that they have been

working on this term and did so

with such extraordinary

confidence and enthusiasm.

Well done to all performers in

Caralee & FLDC for putting on

such a fantastic show, and thank

you to Taylah Reynolds for

preparing the children for this

event - they've enjoyed each

and every lesson with you!

Congratulations!

Your students

are a finalist! Thank you for submitting your

students' colourful and creative

artworks in our 2017 Art

Competition. This year we

received 4,341 entries from

58 schools across the state, and

were once again blown away by

the quality of entries!

Our panel of judges have

completed the difficult task of

choosing five artworks for each

page of the storybook - giving us

the 100 finalists in our 2017 Art

Competition!

A huge Congratulations to our two finalist

for the Therapy Focus Competition.

Cosmo Quartermaine and

Eloise Daws

An exhibition of the finalist

artworks will go on display at

Westfield shopping centres

throughout the July school

holidays.

Sat 1 Jul - Thu 6 Jul 2017

Westfield Whitford City

Fri 7 Jul - Wed 12 Jul 2017

Westfield Carousel

Thu 13 Jul - Sun 16 July 2017

Westfield Innaloo

You can also view the finalist

artworks on our Facebook page.

This year the Therapy Focus Board

of Directors will have the honour of

selecting the 20 winning artworks to

feature in the published storybook.

Winners will be announced in the

first week of Term 3 with principals

and teachers contacted directly.

The winning students, their families,

teachers and principals will then be

invited to attend a Book Launch

during National Children’s Book

Week in August to celebrate the

unveiling of Ben Tries to Fly.

In Music, the lower school

students have finished up

their term by making and

performing a 'rhythm pizza' to

revise the beat value of each

rhythm.

The upper school students

have been working in groups

to create a bunch

of rocking ukulele bands. They

focused on staying in time with

one another and mastering

their chords.
