It’s easy to collect vouchers for Active Kids 2016. Simply shop in Sainsbury’s stores and online at sainsburys.co.uk and you will earn Active Kids vouchers on your shopping. In Sainsbury’s Locals, you will get one voucher for every £5 you spend. You’ll notice these vouchers are larger than t he ones you receive in Sainsbury’s supermarkets and have a photograph on th em. In Sainsbury’s Supermarkets you’ll receive 1 voucher for every £10 you spend. So if you spend £40 you’ll get four vouchers, but what’s new is that they’ll all be printed on one piece of paper. These vouchers are white and smaller in size, with no photograph on them. Vouchers can be posted in the collection box near the school office. Thank you! PE KIT If you have any PE kit your child has grown out of, please could you send it into school. We always need spare kit. Many thanks Dear all, This week 6P presented their assembly to parents and Williamson house. The children shared their learning from their topic Hola Mexico, which the children have clearly thoroughly enjoyed. Congratulations to the boy’s football team who beat Beaver Rd 4-3 at home last week. Both teams played extremely well and represented their schools admirably. Finally, I hope everyone enjoyed our Sports Relief celebrations. Thank you for helping us raise money for such a worthy cause. Best wishes, Kevin Corteen. SPRING TREE DRESSING Easter Sunday, 27th March & Sunday 17th April 10am - 4pm Free ‘drop in’ all-ages Tree Dressing is a tradition of hanging tokens on trees, which in many cultures, is seen as a symbol of life, nature and spirituality. Come and join our artists Natasha Lolljee and Carol McKrell to create your own token to hang in a tree at the Parsonage. EASTER HOLIDAYS Friday 25th March - School Closed (Easter Friday) Monday 28th March - School Closed (Easter Monday) SCHOOL OPEN - Tuesday 29th March - Friday 1st April  We break up for Easter Holi days Friday 1s t April and return Monday 18th April. ACADEMY ANNOUNCEMENT As you will have heard in the news the government have announced that all schools will become academies by 2022. At the hea rt of this decision is school collaboration. Broad Oak already has well established links with local partner schools and now the governing body are beginning to consider our options in the light of t his announcement. We fully intend to maintain our autonomy and look to like-minded schools with a similar ethos to begin tentative discussions regarding possible future formal collaboration. The governors will of-course write to parents to inform you of developments and, in time, consult on any possible proposals. PARENT PAY ‘DROP IN’ SESSIONS If you are having difficulties login on to Parent Pay or do not have access to the internet, we will be providing assistance on Mondays 9am - 9.30am in the Community Room. Dear all,

Summer Fair 2nd July 2pmWe will finish the year with a big summer fair with live music andperformances, bouncy castles, a BBQ, and lots, lots more. This will be acommunity event and we hope you will take the opportunity to bringfriends and family from outside Broad Oak along to see our fabulousschool.

We always need volunteers to help organise and run these events, helpadvertise and even to do some shopping.
