for 2014 will be available at the office from the commencement of Term 1,

2014.

STUDENT COMPUTERS 2014

Parents will have seen lots of items in recent newsletters about buying student computers.

It is not compulsory for all students to buy a new computer immediately. We will still have access to

computer trolleys in ?Year 7 rooms and other areas of the school currently equipped with notebooks.

We do hope parents can make plans to provide their students with their own device as this allows the

computer to be accessed at home as well and greatly improves learning possibilities.

CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE 2014 (TRAVEL ALLOWANCE)

To be eligible to receive a Conveyance Allowance, applicants must hold a pension concession or health

care card and reside more than 4.8km by the shortest practicable route from their nearest school.

Parents are responsible for the initial payment of the bus pass but will be reimbursed in July and

December by the College in the current year.

To apply for reimbursement students are required to complete two forms and return them to the

school office.

1. Public Transport Travel Student Conveyance Allowance Application 2014.

2. 2014 Victorian Public Transport Student Concession Card and Student Pass Application Form

(these forms are not available until early 2014 and can be obtained from the College General

Office or V/Line Stations).

Please note that these forms have to be completed at the start of each school year for continued funding.

HOST FAMILY NEEDED

We are looking for a host family for Ayaka Tohi who will

attend NSC for the 2014 academic year . She will be in Year

10.

who may be interested in hosting our student.

FREE BUSH DANCE

The SpringDale Open Bush Band invite you to come and have a FREE DANCE at our next band practice

session at 1.30pm on Saturday 14th December at the SpringDale hall in Drysdale.

We will be playing a few Bush Dances and a waltz or two.

If you would like to join the band or call a dance, just turn up at 1.30pm this Saturday. We are an Open

Dance Band meaning that any musician is welcome at any session or any dance.

Don’t forget our first evening Bush Dance for 2014 is on the 18th January when we also have the Newport

Bush Orchestra.
