Principal’s Report ~ Milly Stone Throughout the recent unprecedented weather conditions and bush fire activity, the Department, in conjunction with the Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Services, made informed decisions, which were strongly based on safety considerations, when determining the operational status of each school. The Department of Education has student safety and well-being as its highest priorities. Our school was operational and we made adjustments to our daily routines to minimise exposure to smoke. All students and staff were safe at all times. Thank you for your help on Tuesday in this very serious matter. This has certainly been a very difficult week for many families throughout NSW and Queensland with bushfires. Our Student Representative Council will be organising a fund raiser in the very near future to help support those families who have lost everything in the fires. It’s all about paper chains this week at OOSH.

On Thursday of last week we attempted to break

the world record for the longest paper chain of

771 metres - we made it to 15 metres! We have

continued to work on our fabulous, colourful

paper chain throughout the week which twists

and winds itself around the OOSH ceiling.

We also got dirty on Monday afternoon making

green oobleck! Everyone enjoyed

experimenting with this liquid solid.

It is ONLY 4 weeks until the holidays and we’ve

got some exciting days planned. Keep an eye

out for the program.

Gus, Gina and their three sons Carlo, Anthony & David have operated their family run store Thre3 Brothers Fresh in Dural Mall for the last 2 years, offering quality produce and continental goods which are very much part of their everyday lifestyle. We have been involved in getting to know our customer’s needs and we stock a large range of Antipasto, Mixed olives, Bravo Gelato and Gluten free options to make all your cooking needs that little bit easier.

Freshness and the quality of the produce is their speciality and bringing their passion in offering you the excitement they share in good quality food alongside their vision of moving towards sharing a greater awareness around how fresh produce can be enjoyed in many different ways for a healthier lifestyle is something they value greatly.

Gus, Gina and the boys would also like to take this opportunity to thank the community for all its warm supportive welcome, and they look forward to further offering you an exciting selection of goods for your enjoyment towards a healthy lifestyle!
