Candidates to Bachelor study programmes are admitted based on the average grades of
the candidate in the Baccalaureate examination, in decreasing order, within the limit of
available places; this is the sole competition criterion.
Admission is organized in two stages:
Stage I:
- Registration of candidates: 10.06.2013 - 31.07.2013
- Publication of list of admitted candidates: 01.08.2013
- Mandatory payment of first tuition tax (minimum 25 % of the total tuition tax):
01.08.2013- 14.08.2013.
Stage II: - Registration of candidates: 01.08.2013 - 27.09.2013
- Publication of list of admitted candidates: 28.09.2013

Workshop of Japanese Traditional Dance and Calligraphy

The Japanese department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures had the privilege of being the
host of two workshops on Japanese culture, organized by the Embassy of Japan in Bucharest. On June 26th,
2013 the Japanese calligrapher Aoi Yamaguchi and the choreographer and researcher Yuko Hashimoto held a
Japanese calligraphy and a Japanese traditional dance wokshop. The students had the chance to learn basic
moves of Japanese traditional dances and practised the writing of some ideograms which are often used in Japanese calligraphy.

A new edition of the famous Ernesto Sábato’s novel Sobre héroes y tumbas
(translated into Romanian by Tudora Şandru Mehedinţi as Despre eroi şi
morminte) was launched at Bookfest by Humanitas Publishing House. Invited to the
event, the renowned literary critic Dan C. Mihăilescu and the Hispanist Andrei
Ionescu outlined the virtues of this “desert island book”.
