Dear members of Hindi Samaj of WA,

I welcome all the members of Hindi

Samaj of WA and the members of the

new elected committee to the year 2015-

2016.

The new committee was elected on 5th

July 2015 at the Annual General Meeting

(AGM). The new committee has

commenced its work on 12th July after

taking over the charge from the out

going committee.

This organization was incorporated in

1997 and since its inception, promoting

Hindi language is the main mission of

this organization. All members and

previous committees have done

commendable job in this direction. They

faced many difficulties, over came many

obstacles and achieved many

landmarks. I assure you that the new

committee will continue to work with

such dedication and enthusiasm. I am

sure that together we will take our

mission to greater heights.

I thank all the members of year 2013-15

committee who did a wonderful job for 2

years. There hard work, dedication, and

the path provided to the organization is

a matter of inspiration for us.

For our members who can not read

devanagri (hindi) script, this message is

both in Hindi (devanagri) and English

(roman) scripts.

Since this newsletter is the first issue by

the new committee, we will introduce

members of the new committee.

हिन्दी समाजऑफ़WA के हिय सदस्यो,

हििंदी समाज के सभी सदस्यों और नव गहित सहमहत

के सभी सदस्यों को मेरा सादर नमस्कार.

नई सहमहत का चयन ५ जुलाई २०१५ की वाहषिक

आम सभा (AGM) में िुआ. नई सहमहत ने १२

जुलाई २०१५ को पुरानी सहमहत से िैंडओवरवर के

बाद अपना कायि भार सिंभाला िै.

इस सिंस्थान का गिन १९९७ मे िुआऔर शुरू से िी

हििंदी भाषा को िोत्सािन देना इस सिंस्थान का

िमुख उदे्दश्य रिा िै. िमारे सदस्यों और सभी पुरानी

सहमहतयों ने इस हदशा में सरािनीय कायि हकये िैं.

उन्िें कई हदक़्कतों का सामना करना पड़ा, कई

मुहश्कलों को पार हकया और कई मुकाम िाहसल

हकये िैं. मै आप को यि हवश्वास हदलाना चािता ि ूँ

हक यि नई सहमहत अपनी पूरी हनष्ठा और लगन के

साथ अपना कायि करती रिेगी. मुझे हवश्वास िै हक

िम सब हमल जुल कर अपने उदे्दश्य को और

ऊूँ चाइयों पर ले जायेंगे.

मैं वषि २०१३-१५ की सहमहत के सभी सदस्यों को

दो वषो के हलये बिुत िी बेितरीन कायि करने के

हलए धन्यवाद करना चािता ि ूँ. अपने अथक

पररश्रम और लगन से जो हदशा उन्िोंने इस सिंस्थान

को दी िै वि िमारे हलए एक िेरणा का हवषय िै.

अपने उन सदस्यों की सहुवधा के हलए जो अभी

देवनागरी (हििंदी) हलहप निीं पढ़ सकते िैं यि सन्देश

हििंदी (देवनागरी) और इिंहललश (रोमन) दोनों िी

हलहपयों में िै.

यि न्यूज़लेटर नई सहमहत द्वारा िकाहशत पिला

अिंक िै. इस अिंक में िम नई सहमहत के सभी सदस्यों

का पररचयआप से करवाएिंगे.

Main activities for the month of July 2015

िुलाई २०१५ महीने की मुख्य गनतविचधयााँ Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the year 2015.

Date: 5th July 2015,

Venue: The Manning Senior Citizen Centre, 3 Downey Drive,Manning.

Meeting highlights

• Acceptance of last AGM minutes of the meeting.

• Election for the committee for the year 2015-17.

• Passing of Special Resolution to amend the constitution.

Monthly Committee Meeting (July 2015).

Date: 12th July 2015,

Venue: 50 Roselea Boulevard, Stirling.

Meeting highlights

• Nomination & election of additional committee members for the year2015-16.

• Handover and takeover from previous committee.

Other activities undertaken in the month

• Handover from out going committee.

• Establishment of new financial management and accountingsystem.

• HSWA data and file uploaded on a cloud so that all members canaccess them.

• Explore ways for online payments.

• Extension of fixed deposit for another six months.

• Develop new format for newsletter.

As a part of the Community Languages Program, the Office ofMulticultural Interest of WA (OMI) has launched a ProfessionalDevelopment Program (PDP).

From HSWA, Mrs Ashraf Iqbal, Mrs Madhu Handa & Mrs Rashmi Loyalkaattended the launch function on 28 May 2015.

Since then our Paathshala team has been invited to take part in varioustraining workshops and information sessions. We have alreadycommenced participation in these sessions.

These are free training opportunities with an aim to provide professionaltraining to our teachers and administrators.

The teacher’s training topics range from how to provide quality teaching,assessment, and reporting, to effective classroom management.

There are courses for administrators and coordinators about goodleadership & the qualities of a good language school.

So far I have attended one session on the Qualities of a good andeffective community language school. It was a very comprehensive andinformative workshop and was highly beneficial.

As a part of this initiative, parents from the broader community are alsoinvited to attend a session on How to Raise Bilingual Children. Any onecan attend this free session, please see Special Information &Notification Section for registration details.

Free seminar on raising children in more than one language

OMI is offering a free seminar in Perth on raising children bilingually as a part of the professional development program.

This free seminar is open to parents as well providers and will discuss issues in raising children bilingually, show you how to recognise your child's needs in the language, provide you with important tools to foster your child's language learning and maximise the advantages available to you.

We are sure a lot of parents face this problem and would be interested in this seminar.

If you are interested please register and specify that you are a registered member of HSWA.

Session -1: Saturday 15 August from 9.30am to 11.30am

Session -2: Sunday 16 August from 10am to 12pm.

Choose any session to your convenience.
