Dear Parents

A special Leaders Assembly will take place Monday 17 March at 07:30 in the school hall. The Head Boy and Head Girl of St Peter’s for 2014 will be announced as well as the Scholar Patrols. All Grade 7 parents are invited to attend.

Parents are reminded that School closes on Thursday 20 March at 11:00. The end of term reports for Grades 1 - 7 will be issued on Monday 7 April and not as diarized on 20 March 2014. The Pre-School’s pictorial reports will be issued on 20 March Please diarise Monday 14 April and Tuesday 15 April for Parent Consultation Meetings, it will take place from 15:00 – 18:00. The Grades 1 – 3 teachers will be hosting the meetings in their classrooms and the Grades 4 – 7 teachers (and subject specialists) will be in the hall. We ask parents to make an appointment with Ahisha at the Office and to keep the concersation short and not exceed 10 minutes with each teacher. For those parents who may require additional time with the teachers, an additional meetings can be arranged with the teacher.

Speech and Language Screening for Grade R will take place 7 – 12 April 2014.

Just a reminder to buy your tickets for the Variety Show taking place Wednesday 19 March 2014 at 19:00 in the hall. Please invite your friends and family for a show packed with entertainment by the teachers. Doors will open at 18:30 with the Show starting at 19:00. Tickets are available from Ahisha at Reception, and the cost is R50 per person. This Show is for adults only and no children will be allowed. The evening will take the format of the Barnyard Theatre, and you can bring a picnic basket with goodies to nibble on whilst enjoying the Show. This is the last fundraiser for this term. (Child minding will be available at Aftercare @ R10 per child) The two prize for the most appropriate theme tables for the Valentine’s Welcome Braai were awarded to the Nkabule family (Tendai Nkambule Grade 2MG) and the Shongwe family (Anathi Shongwe Grade 6CK) Well done!!

Grade 2LS - *Hope Ngomane – Improvement in reading. Well done! Grade 3BS - *Angela Mkhatshwa – Working very hard on her spelling.

Grade 3JE – Eusebio Chivulele – For adjusting well in new school. Grade 3LS – *Sthe Maseko – excellent oral presentation.

Grade 4JB - *Bassie Makatu – Hard work in class.

A group of moms meet at school every Wednesday (13:00 – 13:30) to pray together.
