It has been another busy couple of
weeks here at Rockbank with Fa-
ther’s Day and our AFL 9s a couple
of the highlights of the last couple
of weeks.
Father’s Day
We had a huge turnout at the Fa-
ther’s Day Breakfast on Friday
morning. We used our new BBQ
that was purchased through the
hard work of our fundraising com-
mittee to cook sausages for the
Dads. A huge thank you to Kathy
and all who helped to make this
event happen. I hope all the Fathers
had a wonderful Sunday.
Father’s Day Stall & Raffle
A massive thanks to Lyn, Maria and
Sharon Alton for organising the
Father’s Day Stall and Raffle. A lot
of preparation and planning goes
into making this a success. I would
also like to thank all the parents
who gave up their time to assist
with the selling of items.
AFL 9s
Congratulations to our Girls who
participated in the first AFL 9s com-
petition for girls at Arnold’s Creek.
They looked fantastic in our new
reversible sports tops and did really
well by achieving 2 wins and 2 losses
on the day. A great effort by Mr Cas-
sano, the AFL 9s team and Kane and
Ali who helped with training the team
before the tournament.
Footy Colours Day
Footy Colours Day has be-
come a must on our school
calendar over the last couple
of years. Next Friday, stu-
dents are encouraged to
come to school wearing
their favourite team guern-
seys or colours. Students
are asked to bring a gold
coin donation to assist with
the Grade 6 end of year
activities. We wish your
team all the best if they are
in the finals.
Sleepover
Next Friday is also our P-2
Sleepover. Students will be
sleeping at school overnight
and participating in lots of
fun activities. It is a great
way for students to begin to
develop independence.

Meet Rocky
Our students have expressed an interest in starting a lunch time garden club - and we are
looking for your support.
The aim of the Garden Club is to teach children how to grow and look after plants at a young
age so that they will become keen gardeners as they become older.
Our Garden Club would take place weekly during break time (either 11:10 - 11:40am or
1:45 - 2:15pm)
Initial set up would include planting flower beds, fruits and vegetables and fresh herbs in our
school gardens, with the support of a parent volunteer. The volunteer would then continue to
work with the students to maintain the garden, including watering, mulching, re-potting and
planting seeds.
If this is something you are interested in, and able to commit your time once per week, we
would love your help.
Please see the office or Mr Cassano if you are interested in running our Garden Club.
