Dear Parents,
Kims Absence
It is with much sadness that we advise that Kim
will be absent from school for the remainder of
this week and all of next week due to the sudden
passing of her father. In her absence Kellie will
be the Teacher In Charge Monday to Thursday
and Ellen on Friday. We wish Kim and her family
well at this difficult time.
School Camps
We thank all the parents who offered their
assistance for the upcoming Camps.
Unfortunately we are unable to take all of you.
Attending the Year 5/6 camp to Queenscliff will
be Mary Anne Cariss and possibly Brett Williams.
Brett will confirm this with us next week. In
addition to this the decision has been made to
take a 21 seater bus to Queenscliff rather than
Private Cars. We thank Nick Wright for offering
to drive this distance. This will mean all students
will be travelling together.
Attending the 3/4 camp to Beechworth will be
Sonja Irving. A small bus will be driven by Kim for
this camp which will take place early November.
Any parents who have not returned permission
forms and deposits please do so as soon as
possible.
More information about both camps will be
available in the coming weeks.
Interschool Running
Congratulations to Lachie Stripeikis for his
fantastic effort in the 1500m run at the
Interschools yesterday. He came a wonderful
10th out of over 30 competitions. Good Luck to
Lachie, Bella, Phoebe, Maddie and Riva who will
be attending the athletics event tomorrow. More
information, photos and results will be in next
weeks newsletter.
NO ASSEMBLY THIS FRIDAY
A special congratulations to Braidy O’Brien, a
former student from Tawonga who attained a
4th position in the 1500m event. Braidy is
now eligible to attend States in this event next
week.

WEBSITE CHANGES
Over the next few months we will be making some big changes to our website. We will be adding lots of information including
teacher/staff profiles, policies and some information about what good things have been happening at our school both in the
classrooms and in the grounds.
I ask anyone who has any ideas or comments they would like to offer to speak with me. I will be at Tawonga on Tuesdays and
Thursdays and some Wednesdays.
Thanks Lisa.
SWIMMING TERM 4
Our swimming program for Term 4 will begin on Thursday 20th November. This will take place Thursdays and Fridays between
1-3pm at the Mount Beauty Swimming Pool. There will be a pool party on Thursday 18th December for the last day.
Any families who have not paid their swimming levies are asked to do so before this time. If you are unsure please contact Lisa
for more information.
JULIANS FAREWELL
Julians farewell will take place at the Dederang Hotel tomorrow evening at 7.30pm. If any parents would like to still attend but
have not advised Lisa you are still quite welcome to attend. Supper will be $5.00 per head and buy your own drinks. The
students have made some lovely pictures for us to present to Julian so he has some keepsakes from his time here at Tawonga.
