“PASTOR PAUL’S PARAGRAPHS”
Dear Members and Friends of the Sweetwater Baptist Church: Blessings!! This November is going to be such an exciting month here at Sweetwater . We have several important events and special activities planned. On November 1st Raul and Ana Costea will be with us here at Sweetwater . Raul is pastor of the Hope Baptist Church in Draganesti-Olt, Romania. Last November, we had a team of eight from our church that worked with Raul and his church in the Oltenia Region of Romania. He will be sharing with us in both am services concerning what God is doing in the southern part of Romania. Also, Elijah Soritau will be speaking during the evening worship service. Elijah is a dear and special friend to Sweetwater. We look for-ward to hearing a report on Elijah’s family and the work he is doing at the Emanuel University and Seminary in Oradea, Romania. On November 8th during the evening worship service (special starting time at 5:30 pm), we will be hav-ing a special called business meeting for the purpose of hearing two recommendations from the Long Range Planning Committee concerning the preliminary stages of moving forward on the construction of a new sanc-tuary/educational facility. At that time, we will be reviewing the presentation from October 24, 2010. This will allow some of our newer members to have the opportunity to hear what we discussed five years ago. This is going to be an exciting and informative meeting. You don’t want to miss it!
On Wednesday evening, November 18th, we will have the 2016 Budget Presentation from the Finance Committee. The vote for the proposed budget will be on the following Sunday morning (November 22nd) during both am services. On Tuesday evening, November 24th, at 6:30 pm we will be having our Thanksgiving Service together. This will be an inspirational time of worship and reflection. Let me encourage you to make plans to attend this special time of thanksgiving and praise. It is hard to believe that we are in the Thanksgiving season. This special time of the year allows us the opportunity to reflect on the many blessings of God. We have truly been blessed as individuals and as a church. Psalm 100:4 admonishes us to do the following, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Make certain that during the Thanksgiving Holiday that you take time to express your gratitude to the Heavenly Father for His many blessings in your life.
It is truly a privilege and a joy to serve you!
With a Pastor’s Love,
Brother Paul Philippians 1:3

Dear Church Family,
I can’t believe it’s already November! As we look toward the month of November, I want to say again how thankful my family and I are to be here at Sweetwater Baptist Church. I can’t thank Him enough for bringing us to this great church! I am thankful for….
Family…It’s been a long time since God led us to a church closer to our families, and for that we are very
grateful!
The Celebration Choir here at Sweetwater. They continue to give of their time and talents each in every
week in leading us to the throne of grace. I look forward to our Wednesday rehearsal each and every
week!
Our accompanists who volunteer their time to lead us in worship each week. They make beautiful music
together! I could listen to them for hours!
Our Youth as they have become involved in a new ministry here at Sweetwater known as S.W.A.T. (a.k.a.
The Student Worship Arts Team). I can’t wait to see what God has in store for S.W.A.T.!
Our Church Staff. It is such a blessing to serve with each member of the Sweetwater Staff. They are such a
joy to work with and a blessing to me personally!
Our Church Family and times of corporate worship…it is such a joy to lead you in worship each week. I
am so thankful for your active participation, and I know the Lord is too!
What are you thankful for this season? I pray that you will take a moment during this busy season to take in-
ventory of your many blessings! We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our
special Thanksgiving service on Tuesday, November 24th at 6:30PM in the Sanctuary.
One final note, I want to make you aware that the four octaves of handbells have been taken to Jeffers Handbell
Supply Company in Lexington. They needed to be refurbished before we ever played a note. If you are interested in
playing in the Handbell Choir, please send me an email ([email protected]), or call the church office so that
I can get you on our list. We will start up the King’s Ringer Handbell Choir after the first of the year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Bro. Mark
