Teacher Speak
Migration of a family from a small village to a big city has a huge impact on children;
they lose their friends, family and most importantly track of learning. But with Rajesh
Nayak things happened quite differently when he suddenly lost his father and moved to
city with his mother and elder sister. Getting admission in school during mid term was
difficult for Rajesh as his mother being a daily wager could not spend much time on
getting her son admitted to school. But Rajesh wanted to study and where there is a
will there is a way; his new friends in the Kela Sahi Bhubaneswar Odisha community
introduced him to recently installed Holeinthewall learning station.Soon he became
an avid user of the HiWEP.Seeing his persistence and devotion, caretaker of the station introduced him to school authorities and due
to his efforts and under RTE he got admission in school. Rajesh Nayak is still enjoying learning at HiWEP
