SCIENCE This week, we will begin Ch. 6 Earth and Space. We will focus on how the Earth move and How do star patterns change. These two lessons will help children understand how the sky appears different at different times. SOCIAL STUDIES This week, we continue working on our unit study about Illinois. We will focus on the geography, government, economy, history, movement, and human environment interaction. RELIGION Ch. 7 The Commandments and the Beatitudes. This chapter will help the children understand why Jesus wants us to follow the Ten Commandments, learn the Beatitudes from Matthew’s Gospel, and discuss ways to live out the Beatitudes. Quiz next Thursday 2/28/19. See study guide in your child’s religion folder. Start memorizing the Beatitudes.

RELIGION Cap. 7 Los mandamientos y las bienaventuranzas. Este capítulo ayudará a los niños a comprender por qué Jesús quiere que sigamos los Diez Mandamientos, aprendamos las Bienaventuranzas del Evangelio de Mateo y discutamos maneras de vivir las Bienaventuranzas.
