This Week’s News2015 CONSTRUCTION The City of Yorkton has begun upgrades to Broadway Street East from Mayhew to Dracup Avenue and will continue throughout the construction season.

• HIGHWAY 10 WATER MAIN INSTALLATIONThe City of Yorkton is undertaking installation of a new 500mm water main along Broadway Street East and Highway 10. Westbound traffi c is closed between Dracup and 8th Avenue. Dracup Avenue Southbound at Broadway is closed as well. This phase of the project should be completed by early next week. Traf� c is being re-routed and detours are in effect. Drivers are asked to follow all posted signage. Please forward any concerns to Public Works Dept. 306-786-1760 Thank you.

Offers signed under seal, executed, and dated will be received by: Department of Public Works City of Yorkton 85 York Road East, Yorkton, SK, S3N 3N9 Contract work includes the following:1. Reconstruction of the existing median and surfacing structure on Highway 10

between Highway 9 and Mayhew Avenue. 2. The work will include the milling of the existing asphalt surface, removal and

disposal of existing concrete medians, curbs, and gutters, culverts, and the supply and installation of a new asphalt or Portland cement concrete surfacing structure.

3. The work will also include installation of culverts, catch basins, curb, gutter, sidewalk and the repair and construction of paved pathways within the limits noted above.

4. Should the project budget permit, Mayhew Avenue between Highway 10 and the access to the Parkland Mall / Linden Square will also be reconstructed to a similar fashion as noted above.
