What Defines a Smart District or Community?
A Smart District or Community is subset of a city
and is the key building block for creating a successful
Smart City. Smart Districts/Communities are about
creating a digitally collaborative ecosystem to
improve the social, economic and environmental
sustainability of the district, serve its community; and
in doing so, ultimately improving peoples’ quality of
life and protecting the environment.

NXN developed a Smart Master Plan for Dubai Silicon Oasis
An extensive exercise was carried out with the DSOA Digital
Task Force to develop Digital Services for DSOA Silicon Park.
A filtering and prioritization exercise was carried out to align
initiatives with Digital City Dimensions and ITU Key
Performance Indicators.
