Promoted to manage the domestic Product Creation & Sourcing operation with a direct team of 4, across multiple functions, locations and a source base of 12 suppliers.

Drove systematic alignment to Nike’s global process, products and calendars across all functions.Successfully created and implemented a 3 year strategy on source base capacity, compliance and capability,aligning to corporate goals directed by the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

FY09-FY11 grew domestic production from 4% to 18% of Nike South Africa’s total apparel units, seeing a 143%growth in domestic deliveries, coupled with a margin growth of 6.9%. With reduced lead times and the OTP up to92% from 74% the quality defect rate was reduced from 5.4% to 2.2%

Elevated the existing factory base compliance ratings. While onboarding 4 new suppliers over a period of 2 years,under Nike Inc.’s global sustainable business and compliance process.

Set up a Direct Ship/ Always Available replenishment model with our key accounts, on the key sock styles, shortening the lead time from 35 to 3 days, maintaining 95% of socks domestically produced.

Covering, both the Product Development and API (Apparel Product Integrity) Manager roles specifically focused on domestic product creation and manufacturing.

Recruited and trained the Product Developer and API Manager, aligning to Nike’s global roles and responsibilities, process and standards..Product Developer accountability covered fit, construction, material development, color and lab dip approval, and all sampling stages up to production for wovens, knits and socks.

Accountable for the Global Football Training Category, Product Developement with a team of 7 Product Developers. Working on Inline, Licensed and Promo product.

Basketball and Men’s Training categories- Product Development - Fit, Construction, Materials, Trims, Sourcing/ Costing.

Launched 3D prototyping for the category, pioneered ultrasonic welding on knitted performance tops, successfullycommercialized Euro 04 and World Cup 06.
