Background - swisscleantech business association swisscleantech is the Swiss voice of the Green Economy. It represents leading Swiss and Liechtenstein companies as well as industry associations (www.swisscleantech.ch/members ). swisscleantech stands for the paradigm shift away from a neoconservative to a sustainable market economy (internalisation of externalities by way of a lean regulatory framework that systematically rewards sustainability). The association bundles the strengths and know how of its members, and represents their interests in politics. The goal of swisscleantech is to position Switzerland as an international Green Economy leader (www.swisscleantech.ch/css ). The association also offers a range of member services (database, news, events and focus groups) and supports selected reference projects. Founded on 07/12/2009 by Nick Beglinger, Chris Häuselmann, and Bertrand Piccard, swisscleantech today represents a strong network and voice in Swiss economic policy. In particular, swisscleantech has a significant impact on Swiss climate and energy policy (including the 2011 CO2 law and the decision to exit from nuclear and fossil energy).

It was set-up in late 2007 as a 'think & do tank' with the mission to make a tangible contribution to sustainable development on a global level. To achieve this objective, FFGS initiates specific projects and implements those in partnership with business, government, and academia.
