MESSAGE FROM THE HOD’s DESK:
On behalf of the faculty and the staff of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIEIT, Mysuru, I welcome you all.
It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.
Mechanical engineers use the core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyse manufacturing plants, industrial equipments and machinery, robotics, medical devices and more. In a way, Mechanical engineers are involved in creatingthe future. They are the driving force behind many of our technologies and industrial processes including innovative products like mobiles, PCs,etc in our modern world. The work of a Mechanical Engineer can be extremely challenging and fulfilling, requiring IT, design and analytical skills together with an ability to work as a team.
