T o contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of persons with

disabilities affected by the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East of Nigeria

• Taimako: Damaturu(Kukareta) Gujba(Katarko, Gujba Gari,

Buni Yadi, Buni Gari)

• WINN: Konduga (Wulari, Sabon Gari, Kafan Ruwa, Mashimari,

Mandarari, Alau)

• GAMMUN: Konduga (Jakana, Auno, Jajel, Njimtilo)

HRP JAN-DEC 2018: EDUCATION

In 2018, the Education sector will seek to reach at least 2 million

school-aged children and education personnel in the three

affected states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. Priority will be

given to the most vulnerable children, including displaced

children, children who have returned from displacement,

affected children living in host communities and children with

specialized needs, including children with disabilities

PERSONS With DISABILITIES (PWD)

Persons with long-term physical, intellectual,

mental and sensory impairments, which in

interaction with barriers (attitudinal,

environmental, institutional, communication) may

hinder their full and effective participation in

society on an equal basis with non-disabled

persons (UNCRPD, 2006)
