The Nikiski Fabrication Facility is located on 25 acres of land on the Kenai Peninsula.

The 41,400-square-foot facility has a monthly capacity of 250 tons of structural steel fabrication and 125 tons of pipe fabrication, and will accommodate up to 400 craft and staff personnel.

Able to engage in any aspect of construction module fabrication, the facility can also provide operations and maintenance support, vac truck service, office space rental, and a lay down area.

In addition, the facility offers software services, including StruCad and AutoCAD structural steel detailing, structural steel material management and inventory system, and pipe spooling software. The facility is also ASME U, PP, and R certified and UL 508 Certified.

WORKFORCE

· 275 non-union craft employees assigned to facility, including a staff of certified inspectors for quality assurance

· Perform operations and maintenance, minor modifications, construction, and industrial cleaning

· Access to another 200 employees for short-term workloads or emergencies

The Nikiski facility is divided into the following operational segments:

• HSE/Safety

• Engineering and estimating

• Structural and pipe fabrication

• Module fabrication

The facility can provide services in any aspect of construction, module fabrication, operation and maintenance support, vac truck service, office space rental, and lay down area.

The Nikiski facility standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Other hours and days may be worked to meet customer project deliverable schedules.

The Nikiski facility offers the following equipment for project use:

• Fabrication shop, 26,000 sq. ft.

The facility has additional equipment for project use, including generators, fuel tanks, loader scarifier blade, plural component machine, diaphragm pumps, dual lance machine, truck mount sander, post automotive lifts, utility trailer, wire feeds, and tread machine.

The Nikiski Facility has a full quality control process that includes certification, inspection, testing, and other requirements and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with generally accepted standards and contract requirements.

The Nikiski Facility holds an “R” stamp for vessel repair, and may work under the Anchorage Fabrication Facility’s “PP” and “U” stamps under certain conditions.

Quality work is ensured through the Nikiski Facility’s inspection staff.The staff includes:

• AWS certified welding inspectors• AWS certified radiographic film interpreters • NACE certified coating inspectors• Certified electrical and instrument inspectors• Pressure vessel repair inspectors
