Availability of waste from the eThekwini City the collection of waste from households and commercial sites is a

service operated by municipalities the model would allow for the compensation of cost associated with

the collection of the waste to the plant creation of co-operatives for the collection of waste to the plant invariably the City will reduce the number of landfill sites required

thus reducing the costs associated with the rehabilitation of the landfill sites, as required by National Treasury

Page 13: Nishati Energy Revised Presentation

The Value of Technology is Our Business Off-take agreement

it is envisaged that the National Provider ESKOM will in all probability increase their unit price by anything between 15 - 25% over the next three (3) years

the above will have enormous economic ramifications for both households and commercials

the drive by government to reduce the over-reliance on coal generated energy isn't only an environmental imperative but also a business imperative for the sustenance of both households and commercial enterprises

the above if unattended will raise the inflation, which will have negative effects for the economy

the proposed technology will guarantee a kilowatt rate which will be far below that of ESKOM, on condition the waste is available at no cost

the City of eThekwini will be required to provide an agreement of an off-taker which will guarantee the reduction of costs associated with its operations

Our team has started discussions with the Inkosi Ngcobo wase Maqadini to avail a piece of land next to the Buffersdry landfill site, which is earmarked for the construction of the facility. It should also be indicated that a single facility that will generate up to 20mw per day will cost an approximate R500m. The team has the necessary capacity to raise the capital required. We will also guarantee a 10% local participation during the construction phase, which is due to the nature of the technical equipment required, mainly available in Germany and parts of Europe and Asia
