More than 31 Years of Manufacturing in AmericaNissan sold its first automobile in the U.S. in 1958, with U.S.
manufacturing beginning in June of 1983 as a white Nissan
pickup truck rolled off the assembly line. More than 31 years
later, Nissan has four U.S. manufacturing facilities capable
of producing 1.14 million vehicles, 1.65 million engines,
1.4 million forgings and 456,000 castings annually.

In 2014, Nissan Group set an all-time U.S. record with 1,386,895 sales. Gains by core models such as Altima (+4.7%), Rogue (+22.4%), Sentra (+41.9%) and Versa (+19.1%) drove sales up 11.1 percent for the year.
