From the Pastor
… I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10
We are entering an exciting time of the year. Spending time with family and
friends during the holidays brings many memories for many people. As we
enjoy a time of thanksgiving and remembrance of our Savior’s birth, we must
also allow ourselves to be even more submissive to the Lord’s direction for our
lives. The “Christian life” is the “Christ life.” It is simply Christ living in us
and through us. The moment we accepted Christ as our Savior, we invited him
to come into our lives so He might have control. We give Him our life,
personality, desires, and total being in which we live every day.
The Christian life is not what we do; it is what Christ does through and in us.
It is an abundant life!
This Sunday was a real treat. We were able to see a husband and wife baptized. We are
excited to receive Art and Janie Talamantes into our fellowship! There are others who have
committed to being baptized in the coming weeks. Please allow me to encourage anyone
considering baptism to visit with me. Asking questions is the simplest way to learn.
Thank you for all of the acknowledgments of our 30th wedding anniversary. Becky and I are
taking a few days to celebrate and appreciate your prayers for our travel. We will be here
Sunday to finish our series, “God Never Said That.” We will see you Sunday!
Blessed to be your pastor,
Bro. Tommy
