The smoother the pixel level count area is, the less sharp the MX rende-ring is (noisy) , because of the limited (stopped) SL count. A noisy pic-ture at SL = 6.

The MX rendering needs to proceed till the Photoshop Levels showsthe ‘same’ sharp edges as with this Artlantis model.

With Artl. render the Levels are sharp because of the borders of thecubes that forms distinctive levels in the black-white RGB tonal range.

Note the big shift in grey with Maxwell Engine to blue (blue shift of Maxwel is in Mac & Windows).

Note that Artlantis or MX does not hesitate in importing or working with 9000 cubes alltogether, it does not matter. In SketchUp Pro 8 itdoes, the interface is slowing down considerably. If the 3D model is too heavy MX does not render anymore (‘writing file’ is the last thingMX does, processor(s) activity approximate to zero), Artl. render will most of the time continue, also with large 3D models.

The MXS file is 416 MB but rendering does notwork.

WINDOWS

After 05:37 the first interior is in sight with SL = 4Because of the slow start it will take several hoursto render, but it IS WORKING in Windows compu-ter.

Sort of conclusion?• Because of the big difference between Macintosh and Windows Art-lantis Studio & Render, there is no use for this text in Artl. Forum:

“ In my computer it worked all right“the Forum client did not mention his or her computer type, theForum editor did not mention that she is using an iMac.

Always tell people what computer / version / hardware YOU AREUSING if you want some result.

• A big difference in performance between Mac (slow) and Windows(faster), even if you consider the hardware differences of the two testcomputers.

• “ License is expired “Maxwell Engine could be tested only by newcomers. A month is not-hing to get the hang of it. Then it is over, the demo license of MXstopped.

Will it be possible to enlarge the demo time of Maxwell Engine?Then everyone can test MX with it in his (spare) time.

• Grey color in SketchUp Pro, in Artlantis colors blue in Maxwell Macand Windows.

• Large 3D models did not render in Maxwell with iMac & MacPro.“Writing file” and nothing more . . .It did render in Windows 7 Intel computer.Artlantis rendering is oke in both Mac & Win.

• Strange behavior of all backgrounds in certain Windows computerswith MX Engine. No backgrounds are showing. Mac is oke.

• Sampling Levels in Maxwell, numbering (Mac & Win) is not good.

• If the Preview is showing dark pictures during the early faces ofSampling Levels then the renderingstime is considerably.

• Sampling Level time becomes increasingly longer with higer SL.

• 9000 cubes is no problem for Artlantis or Maxwell, rendertimes arelow. This is an ‘easy’ 3D model for Artlantis and MX.

• With Photoshop Levels it is possible to see the progressing MX SLcount in action.

All tests and remarks refer to the mentioned computers. Other compu-ters could behave differently.
