Church family, we are really excited about this summer. A lot is happening around the church, from VBS to camps to mission trips and Disciple Hike. It promises to be busy! But, in the midst of that busyness, we also want you to take specific time to be with your family. We want to help you set aside time to spend with your family and friends. Not necessarily at the church, but in your homes, with your neighbors, outside, or wherever else you may end up. So, starting in June, we will not be having activities on Sunday nights at the church. No Bible studies or small groups or anything. What we want you to do is designate sum-mer-time Sunday nights as family nights.
Then, each week on Sunday morning, we will challenge each other to actively en-gage with their family the next week. The challenge could be anything from spend-ing time with just your family to spending time with two other families. We may challenge each other to broaden our families and reach out to a neighbor you don’t know very well. We may challenge each other to gather as one big faith family for a specific cause. Then, as the weeks go by, we will ask you to send us pictures of your family in action. Maybe watching a movie, maybe having a party with neighbors. Who knows what you might end up doing, but we want you to share your pictures with everyone. We will give more details as the weeks go by, but I personally look forward to spending some “family time” with you all.

Dear Church Family, Your prayers, cards, visits and financial assistance has meant so much to us as we’ve made this journey. Thank you is just not adequate in expressing our gratitude, yet that is the only word we have in English. So, THANK YOU! May God bless each of you as we endeavor to serve our Lord with you. Yours in Christ, Judi & Van Page

On May 26, we were privileged to hear Rocky Hudson, who in 2014 retired from directing the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Kay County. He owns degrees from Bay-lor University and the University of Oklahoma.
For 24 years, Rocky was the Admin-istrator for the Oklahoma Depart-ment of Corrections in the Medical Services Division.
Rocky reviewed the book, “Live Long, Die Short”. The book’s focus is the importance of senior adults to “keep moving”. “Moving” benefits us physically, emotionally, psycho-logically and socially. We live longer and can be healthier even some-times when disease attacks.
Rachel Voelkers informed us about the importance of learning about dementia which victimizes a great number of the aged. Rachel is a de-mentia skills coach and consultant. She stressed the necessity of care-givers changing, because a person with dementia does not change back to who they were. She wants to help caregivers learn to find joy in their journey as a caregiver. She can be contacted at 580-767-8867.
Seniors - do you want to go any-where? Do anything together some-time? What are your ideas?
Remember, We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Philippians 4:13
