The Partnership for Children of Lincoln & Gaston Counties (Partnership) hosted the eighth annual Family Spooktacular on Saturday, October 29, 2016. With approximately 2,500 in attendance, this was the biggest year yet! Children and their families were able to enjoy many different games and activities! Spooktacular is held at the beautiful Woodmill Festival Grounds in Vale, NC. An ambulance, fire truck, smoke house, and police car were at the event to educate children. In addition to the emergency services vehicles, the Tumble- Bus returned along with the Schiele Museum and bounce house and slide from Bounce Houses and More. Approximately 1,100 books were distributed at the end of the fitness trail. The Partnership also distributed stuffed animals that were a huge hit! The Partnership also offered a free hot dog lunch again this year. Multiple amazing raffle prizes including a 60” Smart TV, Freeman Gas Portable Grill, Gastonia Grizzlies tickets, a Yeti Rambler cup, Schiele Museum tickets, and many more were given to lucky winners. The Partnership staff cannot wait to see you at next years Spooktacular!

Eighth Annual Family Spooktacular a HUGE Success!

The Partnership for Children of Lincoln & Gaston Counties (Partnership) hosted the eighth annual Family Spooktacular on Saturday, October 29, 2016. With approximately 2,500 in attendance, this was the biggest year yet! Children and their families were able to enjoy many different games and activities!

The Partnership announced that Glenn Cook, of Gastonia, is the raffle winner of a Samsung 60” Smart TV. The drawing took place at the end of the Spooktacular event. Money from the raffle will support early childhood literacy.
