Father’s Day Breakfast We are looking forward to seeing many of the dads at our Father’s Day Breakfast this Friday morning. Thank you to Lisa Manton and her group of helpers for their coordination of this P & C event. Classrooms will be open throughout the morning in case any dads would like to pop in and see their child’s room after breakfast. Zone Athletics Last Wednesday was the second day of the Beecroft Zone Athletics Carnival. Our school team again displayed excellent performances and team spirit. Special congratulations to Thomas V and Olivia P who have progressed to the Sydney North Area level in their respective 100m events. They will compete early next term, along with Cassidy M who has progressed to this level in long jump after her excellent performance at the first day of competition. Well done also to Leon L, who made the final of his 100m event, and to Shiva R and Mitchell B who made the finals of their 200m events. Thank you to Ms De Palo who coordinated our school team for the zone carnivals and to Ms Martinson and Mr Rosewarn who also attended with the team on the competition days. SASS Recognition Week This week is Recognition Week for our School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS). Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Regional Final Well done to Joel F who competed at the regional final of the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking competition last Thursday, following his win at the district competition last term. It was a fantastic achievement for Joel to reach this level and he demonstrated excellent presenting skills throughout this competition. Kindergarten 2020 Our final information session for Kindergarten 2020 was held last Thursday. Thank you to the parents who set up and served morning tea for our new families. All enrolment forms for 2020 Kindergarten should be submitted to the Administration Office before the end of this term, as during September we will be posting letters detailing our Transition Program.

PSSA Competitions Our girls and boys T-ball teams competed in their respective grand finals of the PSSA winter competition last Friday. The boys had a very close game, against Cherrybrook PS, whilst the girls won their game against Thornleigh West PS, becoming grand final winners! This is a wonderful result being only the second year our school has participated in this competition. Thank you to Ms Martinson for coaching the teams throughout the season and to parent Leon Smith for his assistance with the teams.

Positive Behaviour for Learning During this fortnight all classes are revising expectations for transitions between the playground and classrooms and moving between learning spaces in our school. The Week 5 recipients for our PBL draw were Roman G and Arya S. Merit Certificates Congratulations to the following students who received a merit certificate at last week’s assembly:
