On behalf of the North Carolina Simmental Association and DP Sales Management, I would like to take

this opportunity to invite each of you to the North Carolina “Fall Harvest” sale on Saturday, September

3rd at 12:00 in Hamptonville, North Carolina. The Fall Harvest will be a the Shuffler sale facility in

Hamptonville. Dr Shuffler has a excellent sale facility with a nice auction arena, grass lots, inside pens,

and a great place for the other sale related events. Dr Shuffler continues to be a great supporter of the sale

and the Simmental breed. Lets all show support of the state association and make Simmental one of the

strongest breeds in North Carolina. This is the memberships sale so I encourage everyone to pull together to

make this the best ever.

This year we have several new consignors and many which have been involved for several years. We

appreciate the Simmentals enthusiasm from the surrounding states such as Virginia, South Carolina, and

Georgia. Each year we have a lot of new faces to the sale and this year we have had several new breeders

inquire about the sale offering. I challenge each member to invite old members and new potential breeders

to this enjoyable sale event. Anyone that has attended in the past remembers the great sale atmosphere and

the solid group of sale cattle. If you have not attended in the past years, the dinner, annual meeting, and

the fun auction please add it to your plans. Again, a special “Thank You” to Jennie Rucker. Everyone is

welcome, come you won’t be disappointed.

The offering includes a solid set of bred heifers, several top notch open purebreds and a great set of

SimAngus again from Shuffler Farms and others. The pairs and bred cows offered will put your program in

the profit picture. The embryos offered in this years sale are some of the breeds best from some of the top

programs in the country. The Simmental business is good with a strong demand for Simmental bulls and

Simmental influenced feeder cattle. Come and view the offering and be a part of the North Carolina sale

weekend.

Please don’t hesitate to call any of the consignors involved in this sale. Also if Drew Hatmaker, Jeremie

Ruble, or myself can be of any assistance please feel free to call anytime. We encourage you to attend and

be a part of this positive Simmental event. Remember to come the night before the sale for the activities

and stay for the sale on Saturday. See you in Hamptonville.

Marie in Time is daughter of In Dew Time and Chyna Marie. She started out her young career selling at six months of age being a champion and high seller at the Tennessee Agribition for $8,000.00. Marie In Time is just like her dam and grand dam earning a track record of winning and gain friends along the way. Marie was Senior Champion at the North American and Chyna was Reserve Grand at the North American. Now all three are North American winners. Marie in Time has been flushed successfully to the following bulls, JF Shock and Awe which would be full sibs to the winning Tingle Farms heifer; Shock Force, the Steel Force son out of the $52,000 Sazerac donor; The Answer, the Angus bull that sired the Grass-Lunning females at Denver. The Shock and Awe mating would be full sibs to the heifer that Tingles purchased at the TN Agribition. Miss Awe claimed Grand Champion honors at the Dixie National and most recently won Senior Champion at the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes. Shock and Awe is owned by Black Ridge, Katherine Walters and Janssen Farms. Also, Marie was flushed to the Sazerac son, Shock Force. His first progeny looked good at the Sweepstakes and should turn some heads in the fall sale season. You the buyer decide on your selection. Selling 5 embryos guarantee 2 pregnancies. • Selling 3 embryos or 5 embryos, with a guarantee of one or two pregnancies if work is done by a certified embryologist. • Here is a special embryo lot many breeders should have interest in sale day. History says that the Power Stroke females are some of the best producers in the breed and Dew the Stroke is making her mark. The young donor in a short period of time has demanded attention because of her superior ability to produce those cattle with extreme eye appeal plus the overall completeness. This donor is owned by Horseshoe Hollow and C&C Farms. In the last two years at the Cattleman’s Choice sale her progeny have been favorites. A Built Right daughter was a many time champion for Macie Seagraves and sold to Triple H in Louisiania. Also another Built Right daughter sold to Hartman Cattle Co. and is a part of their show string. A fall open Steel Force daughter sold in the past Cattleman’s Choice for $4,000. Embryos sold for $650 and $600 each this year going to Randall Herman and Gil Cowles. In the recent Sweepstakes show a HHF Payday out of Stroke claimed Senior calf champion honors and sold privately to Hartman Cattle Co. With the performance of Upgrade this mating should excel big time. The pedigree is right going back to the same family as In Dew Time. Everything is positive in this mating and the potential is wide open. C&C Farms are showing several daughters of this cow and are all winning and gaining many friends at each show. You can select 3 embryos or 5 embryos, with a guarantee of one or two pregnancies. Get involved the females are show stoppers.

This Goldmine donor goes back to G&L Savannah. The same cow that has done well for many breeders such as Ernie Brooke, BP Cattle, Lucas Cattle, VA Tech, Sunset View, Triple C, Janssen Farms, Woodlawn, Ruble Family McClure and more. Georgia 565R is a full sister to Shesavannah which done well in this area. The Goldmine donors are hard to beat especially when they trace back to great cows each generation. Georgia great granddam Black Agatha produced many standouts for the Drake family. As they continue to breed dependable and predictable genetics, the cow is important. Static is a baldie son backed by Ever Ready and several good McDermott cows.

Yes, over the past 10 to 12 years of sales and too numerous to mention. The cow is deserving of a picture however didn’t get one by catalog time however is the right type and kind. This is a awesome brood cow being deep, wide and stout plus has a excellent udder. This cow is definitely good enough to be donor, no doubt. Recently her bull calf sired by Fortunate Son was purchased by Bud Moore. Remember H25, Cottontail and all the other family members. Call Ray about this cow or see her sale day.

• BW: 83 • WW: 968 • Shrek has put quality calves on the ground for us and has a fall crop on the way in TN. His dam (now deceased is highest profit generating cow we ever owned and Shrek is her last calf. Breeders familiar with our program will recognize the pedigree and her progeny are no strangers to the North Carolina Fall Harvest. We believe this bull has great potential and can be used in any scenario. He is well muscled, structurally correct and moderate in his frame. Shrek’s disposition is excellent and his numbers are highly desirable. Appealing white markings are confirmed to his head only. He is homozygous polled by pedigree and heterozygous black by progeny proof. Shrek represents the finest in SimAngus genetics! Just in case, Black Ridge retains an interest in this bull’ 100% possession and 50% semen interest sells.
