Dear Participants:
Welcome to the 2009 Member Guest Fall Classic at North Hills.
As we complete our 101st year as a club I am happy to report that
our Member Guest Committee (below) has dedicated many hours
to ensure that this event exceeds your expectations.

-"Good Friends"-"Good Golf"- and a libation or two along the
way.

Tournament Format
Five nine-hole matches will be played within each flight. The format will be Fourball Match play (Better Ball of Partners) with low handicap player playing scratch. Handicaps will be based on a players USGA Index adjusted to NHCC Slope with maximum of 30. Any Player without a USGA index will be assigned a handicap by the Committee with a maximum of 24.
Scoring will be as follows: a. 1 point for winning a hole b. ½ a point for tying a hole c. 1 point for winning a match d. ½ a point for tying a match e. In case of forfeit, a maximum of 6
points will be awarded.
The Flight winners will be awarded prizes in each flight based on total point accumulation. If there is a tie in the flight, there will be a one hole playoff and, if needed, chip off on hole #1. The winning team in each flight will participate in the Saturday afternoon Shoot-Out to determine the overall Member Guest Champions.
SHOOT-OUT: This is a four hole playoff using holes # 1, 2, 8 & 9. Each team will be given a handicap based on 50% of the combined team handicap. The format is alternate shot with the guest teeing off on the first and eighth holes, and the member teeing off on the second and ninth. Each team must score net par or better on holes # 1, 2, 8 and 9 in order to continue to the next hole. If no team makes a net par or better on any hole, the team with the lowest aggregate score for the holes played will be the winning team. If there is a tie for the lowest score, a chip off will determine the winning team. The low net score after four holes is declared the winner. If there is a tie for first place after the four playoff holes, a "chip-off" on the 9th hole will decide first and second place.
Three Holes on #18 On Friday we will have three holes on the 18th green. You may choose any hole and may change your choice at any time. Win / Win Challenge Friday First 18 Only - Players may wager from $20 to $50 while hitting their shot on hole #11. If you hit the green, you double in shop credit, if you miss the green you win what you wagered in shop credit.

Player Pool Again this year is the optional "Player Pool". The entry fee for the pool is $ 200.00 per team. The fee will be collected at registration on Friday morning. Please sign up before beginning play. Based on 100% participation, cash prizes will be awarded as follows:
• Overall Tournament Winner 1,000.00 per team
• Overall 2nd Place 500.00 per team
• Flight Winners ** 200.00 per team
• Most Points Friday (within flight) 100.00 per team
• Most Points Saturday (within flight) 100.00 per team
• Friday Skins Game (1st 18 holes) pot
