MAYOR’S CORNER
The Homecoming Festival was very successful this year. Thank you to all
who contributed that weekend!
It’s that time again for seasonal flu shots. Walgreens will be offering the
high dose & standard flu shots at the Senior Center on Thursday, October
19th from 10am-12pm. No appointment is necessary.
The Farmers Market at Frostville Museum will be held every Saturday in
October from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Vendors offer a wide variety of fresh
fruits and vegetables, herbs, jams, honey, pastries, flowers, clothing,
jewelry and so much more. Also, Richardson Farms will be at the Senior
Center Tuesday, October 10th & 24th from 10am-12:00pm, this will be
the last opportunity to purchase produce from the Mobile Farmers Market
this year. If you have any WRAAA Mobile Farmers Vouchers please be
sure to use them by October 31st.
Halloween Trick-or-Treat will take place Tuesday, October 31st from
6:00pm to 8:00pm. Please be extra cautious while you are driving through
neighborhoods that evening.
Save the Date: 8th Annual International Food Cook-Off. Wednesday,
November 1st at Springvale Ballroom—doors open at 11:30am. Tickets
are $5.00 per person—advance tickets sales only (tickets will not be sold
at the door). Taste a variety of internationally inspired cuisine. All
proceeds benefit the North Olmsted Senior Center.

ed. In fact, they are the
item that’s most
requested by anyone who is living out-
side during the cold months. The North
Olmsted Senior Center, along with the
surrounding Westshore Senior Centers,
are collaborating with the Community
West Foundation to collect donations of
NEW socks, (ladies, men & children)
through the END OF THE YEAR. You
may drop off your donation of new
socks at the NOSC during normal
business hours. Help us help those in
need with the most basic necessities!

resident 60 years of age or older or with a
disability STC Plus is your passport to local

Fresh Fruit (apple, orange etc.) 4. UNOPENED milk during the
winter months. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
All persons 60 and older are welcome to join us for lunch. A reg-
istration form must be completed and can be obtained at the
front desk. Once this has been completed and is on file, you may
sign up for any lunches that you choose. Please contact the
center for more details. This program was made possible by a
Grant from the Ohio Department of Aging through the Western
Reserve Area Agency on Aging. Please acquire your lunch ticket
at the sign in desk and be in your seats no later than 11:25am.

own lunch reservation. Due to a limited amount of lunches that will be
ordered, reservations will not be made over the phone. Sign-up is always
one week in advance as the reservations are called in to the caterer on
Thursdays by 10:00a.m.

Sunday, November 26th—Cleveland Pops & Windows on the River Enjoy wonderful holiday Christmas music with The CLEVELAND POPS ORCHESTRA. In addition to the Or-
chestra, you will also have the opportunity to delight in the POPS Vocal cho-
rus. Audience participation is welcomed and encouraged, so come prepared
to sing-along! This deluxe motor coach adventure will also include a won-
derful, post-show, plated dinner at the Windows on the River, offering spec-
tacular riverfront views of the Cleveland skyline.

Sunday, December 31st— “New Years on the Nautica” Come join us as we sing Auld Lang Syne to 2017 and Welcome 2018 with a
unique New Year’s at NOON celebration aboard the elegant Nautica Queen.
Our motor coach will deliver us at 11:30 am., so we can put on our Party hats
and ring our noise makers for the big, 12 O'clock Count Down with a Cham-
pagne (or soft drink) salute.
After the count down, we’ll start our cruise by enjoying the superb Buffet Lunch that The Nautica Queen
is famous for. We’ll cruise the Cuyahoga River and travel along the shoreline of Lake Erie, taking in
spectacular city skyline views. Plus, we’ll be entertained by the Nautica Queen staff DJ with music for
listening and dancing. After our cruise, we’ll travel to Tower City with free time to view the Holiday Dec-
orations, watch the Ice Skaters on Public Square OR look for Lady Luck at the JACK Casino. We'll see
the Playhouse Square Chandelier and Christmas Tree enroute home. Cost: $65.00 pp / Checks to JKL Tours / deadline is November 30th
