Next Fall North Texas will unveil the new Mean Green Football Stadium adjacent to the Athletic Center. The new stadium will provide amenities that attract today’s fans looking for the ultimate game day experience, including 22 luxury suites, club level with chair back seating, giant video screens, and generous tailgating and staging areas. The stadium will be the first collegiate football stadium designed by award-winning HKS Inc., the same architectural firm that just completed the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Also, in accordance with North Texas’ commitment to create a sustainable campus, we’ve followed strict Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards making this the nation’s first collegiate football stadium that strives to earn gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Seating location and allocation for the new football stadium will be determined based on the Mean Green Club Priority Point System. The Mean Green Club is responsible for raising the funds needed for athletic

scholarships. As tuition costs continue to rise, the need for increasing membership rises as well. Donations to the Mean Green Club help support nearly 350 North Texas student-athletes each year, and provide them with the best collegiate experience possible. As we continue to progress as a department, growth in the Mean Green Club is vital.

The University of North Texas is an institution dedicated to greatness in all areas, including athletics. Since 2000 the Mean Green has seen a total of 16 championships within the Sun Belt Conference. This success is a direct reflection of the commitment of coaches, administration, alumni, fans, and most importantly, our student-athletes.

Members of the Mean Green Club receive exclusive access to North Texas Athletics. As a part of the Mean Green Club you enjoy year long benefits such as invitations to member-only events, the best parking and seating available, and so much more. Mean Green Club membership and season ticket purchases also increase your priority points. Priority points are awarded for donations, consecutive season ticket purchases, and longevity of membership within the Mean Green Club. The seat selection process at the new stadium will be based on the Priority Points System.

Mean Green Club Priority Point System

The Mean Green Club Priority Point System is utilized to facilitate the seating of our loyal Mean Green supporters. The system establishes

minimum point requirements to guarantee qualified account holders the opportunity to

purchase priority season tickets, away game tickets, and post season tickets. The point system is utilized

to prioritize season ticket relocation/seating requests, and to determine seating location for

away and post season games.

Priority Points Priority points provide North Texas Athletics with the most fair and objective way to reward Mean Green fans for their loyalty and support. Priority points reward members for current annual gifts, historical giving and consecutive years as a season ticket holder and Mean Green Club member. Priority points are accrued in a variety of ways:

1 point for every $100 of historical giving to the Mean Green Club*1 point for every $100 of historical giving to an Athletic Capital Campaign*2 points for every consecutive year of Mean Green Club Membership*2 points for every consecutive year of Letter Winner’s Association dues*2 points for every consecutive year of Football season tickets*2 points for every consecutive year of Men’s Basketball season tickets*2 points for every consecutive year of Women’s Basketball season tickets*2 points for every consecutive year as a Mean Green Pass holder*

The Green and Blue lots are reserved for Mean Green Club Members. The Green lot is reserved for Mean Green Club members of the $500 level or higher. The Blue Lot is reserved for Mean Green Club members at the $250 level or higher. Recreational vehicle parking is available in the Blue Lot for $60. The opportunity to purchase additional parking passes is available to Mean Green Club members through the North Texas Ticket Office at 940-565-2527.

Tailgating

Tailgating Tailgating festivities at the Mean Green Village and the surrounding area start early and are highlighted by the Mean Green march featuring the North Texas Cheerleaders, North Texas Dancers, Green Brigade Marching Band, and the Mean Green Football Team.

Live musical entertainment, Junior Mean Green Club Fun Zone, and plenty of Mean Green spirit are the norm for tailgating on Game Day at North Texas.
