Program Requirements – AAS Degree in Drafting & Design Technology
The Drafting & Design Technology program prepares students for entry-level employment as computer aided drafting technicians. Graduates are able to perform tasks such as basic mechanical detailing, creation of solid models and application of standard dimensioning practices. Training is focused on the application of critical thinking and problem-solving and the use of additive manufacturing. The curriculum of the program is geared to meet the specific educational needs of businesses and industries within the NACC service area and is certified by the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA), endorsed by the Manufacturing Institute and approved by the National Center for Construction Education & Research. Students in the DDT program have the opportunity to acquire several nationally recognized credentials and software certifications.
