Local Area Coordinators work with people aged 7-64 with disability who are eligible for the NDIS to provide information, prepare plans and promote individual capacity to self-direct their NDIS plan. This includes connecting people with supports and communities to achieve the goals in their NDIS plan. Uniting also work with the NDIS to implement the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building initiatives. The ILC team supports both participants and non-participants of the scheme to link with mainstream and community services or activities where funding is not available.
