Careseekers is an NDIS registered platform where individuals can connect directly to disability support workers giving them choice and control over who provides their one on one support. Careseekers supports self, plan or agency managed NDIS participants. Workers on the Careseekers platform are background and reference checked, and work as independent contractors so you can negotiate the hourly rates and there are no minimum hours. Workers can assist with activities relating to one on one support such as assistance with self care, social and community participation, therapy supports, and domestic duties.

EarlyEd is an early childhood intervention service for children who have a disability or developmental delay, and their families. Services are delivered at home, preschool/childcare, school, in the community and as parent training (such as Hanen ® Stepping Stones PPP and toilet training) or group programs. Group programs include targeted preschooler programs, transition to school program and intensive holiday programs. Services are delivered by speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, educators and specialist behaviour support practitioners.

Home Care Heroes is a support and companionship service aimed at combating social isolation for people who may be unwell or feeling lonely due to ageing, illness or disability. Home Care Heroes offer companionship, core supports, capacity building (e.g. mentoring, budgeting, transport budgeting), sleepovers, mentorship, and a helping hand. We are an NDIS approved provider and offer private funding via My Aged Care or via your nominated bank account. My Supports provides most NDIS funded supports, such as assistance in the home so people with a disability can live independently, support to participate inclusively in the community, skill development, assistance in training and employment, and planning and coordination of supports. My Supports works via small, self-managed “neighbourhood teams” with carefully matched staff with a range of skills providing direct, personal support and mentoring.

The Housing Connection (THC) has been providing individually tailored community and supported living services since 1981. Our primary focus area is across Northern Sydney District. THC provides support for people to live in their own home and to access and engage in their local community. The organisation’s focus is on skills and capacity building. THC recently set up The Trolley Bag project as a social enterprise. Based in St Ives, participants design and make shopping bags out of recycled material, along with beeswax wraps, to be sold at weekend markets.

Our music therapy programs commonly support non-musical goals of improved communication, social skills development, enhanced emotional wellbeing and improved cognition, physical mobility and sensory integration. Our individual and group programs are designed to foster opportunities for choice and control, creativity and self regulation to enhance everyday living. Live music making is our medium for change. However, no prior musical experience is required by participants. Our allied health service is delivered by a team of qualified therapists who are professionally registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association.

Uniting Local Area Coordinators work on behalf of the NDIS to support people with disability transition onto the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Local Area Coordinators work with people aged 7-64 with disability who are eligible for the NDIS to provide information, prepare plans and promote individual capacity to self-direct their NDIS plan. This includes connecting people with supports and communities to achieve the goals in their NDIS plan. Uniting also work with the NDIS to implement the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building initiatives. The ILC team supports both participants and non-participants of the scheme to link with mainstream and community services or activities where funding is not available.
