The Cities of Salisbury, tea tree gully and playford are looking for nine

enthusiastic committed young people to be trained up as radio presenters!

No experience is needed as you will gain FREE industry training to assist in presenting the Jibba Jabba Radio show from PBA FM 89.7 radio station in Salisbury. Expressions of interests close on Monday 13th December with interviews being held from the 15th-17th of December 2010. Successful applicants will be notified to attend a Team Building Day on 19th January 2011 and begin their 5 week industry training starting Wednesday 2nd Febuary 2011.

The City of Tea Tree Gully joins other Councils from across the East to put together a holistic health day for students in Years 8 -10, Monday the 7th of March 2011.

“Get the Drift” helps young people to explore the subject of resilience and provides practical pathways to maintain a big picture view of their lives and the challenges of growing up though interactive workshops and informal expos.

The Youth Market gives young people the chance to sell any unused items for some extra cash just in time for Christmas. To take part as a seller tables are $10 for one day $15 for two. Sellers can come on Friday any time after 6.15 pm and on Saturday 8.15 am for set up. No electrical goods or pets allowed for sale.

The Hub is a place where young people can come and hang out after school. There will be recreation activities such as Wii, pool table, table tennis, arts and crafts and heap more. The hub is free for all young people aged 12-17 years old. Youth workers from Gawler health service along with volunteers from Gawler council will facilitate the hub weekly. Transport will be provided to young people who cannot get to the Hub.
